They'll sell you a 20+ year old "refurbished" JUNK...
They'll sell you a 20+ year old "refurbished" JUNK unit that will constantly break and blame YOU!
The owners of HRI Vending, Mark Hytry, his wife, Kym, and his daughter, Kayley, make ambulance chasing lawyers look highly ethical.
I used HRI Vending since 2018 for all my moving and service. Even when I had "white glove" delivery set (and paid for) for my 20+ fleet I used HRI to move my machines. I went to far as to drive and drop off a check for Mark Hytry because he was short on payroll once. I gave the Hytrys' many referrals over the years. I was not given a discount. Once.
Recently I was sold a "refurbished" machine from HRI. By "refurbished" I mean they spray painted the exterior cabinet black and cleaned it. I was literally taken off a barn floor and sold to me for $2,300. Good deal huh? That's what you can expect in terms of ethical sales from the HRI family.
The drink machine I bought is about 18 months old. Since then the unit would freeze (and explode) my drinks. I also had to replace the coin mechanism. I paid HRI's ridiculously priced service fee ($1.50 per mile round trip; $110 per hour). He then sold me a full priced junk refurbished control board to fix the freezing issue. Around six months later (today), its freezing and exploding drinks. Again. FOR THE THIRD TIME!
Mark's wife and daughter's response? Go on the offense! "It's a refurbished unit, what do you expect? Like all mechanical things they break!" Funny none of my other 20+ machines have EVER done this.
Maybe, instead of going on the offense, when you have a customer that's on the phone with you looking at over four dozen frozen exploded soda cans inside his machine YOU SOLD and the soda cans are leaking out FOR THE THIRD TIME say "I'm sorry! How can we help?"
Maybe actually fix the machines before you sell them. Oh that's right. The guy I spoke with at your location that "refurbished" my machine had ZERO previous vending machine experience.
Most laughable was his daughter's response, "A new machine costs over $11,000." I can easily get a new machine, delivered, for around $6500. What an insulting thing to try and pass off on me.
I requested to Kayley that a service call be put in. The daughter stumbled and bumbled because I didn't know the exact address. HINT: It the same address on the invoice in front of you. The same place the tech came to the last two times.
I'm getting more irritated at this point so she says, "I'll call you back" and HANGS UP. Very helpful.
His wife Kym then calls about an hour later and asked, "Why are the cans exploding. Are you putting the cans in wrong?" Yes, I'm putting the cans in so they freeze and exploding. Good technical support Kym.
I requested to Kym that the machine be picked up and taken. His wife refuses.
She uses profanity and tells me to shut up. She then informs me "We aren't looking for any more machines! Sell the machine and find a new service provider." CLICK. Happily!
So many lies from them and such poor service from someone that I've spend thousands and thousands of dollars on since 2018. I helped this guy and his family business. Never again.
In summary, AVOID THESE CROOKS. No matter how well you treat them, they will find a way to take advantage of you and never give an inch. Terrible.
