We have hosted 2 Ukrainian families with Homes for Ukraine. Very straightforward, well run managed , organised.
We wanted to host an Afghan family.
We got 6 other people / families involved.
This group stated that they couldn’t find my husbands current DBS checks. ( he works for a big hospital and is well known )
They said he didn’t exist!
Then they wrote a public complaint saying that we were not computer savvy ( possibly dinosaurs) and took too long to fill forms in so could not host!!!
Then they keep sending me e mails asking us to sign up with citizens UK !!
If you wish to host our advice would be use Homes for Ukraine.
We intend to help host an Afghan family now that both of the families we have hosted have rented places of their own and are happily settled here.
Please don’t waste your time with this group Citizens UK
