Sherwoods and Al Hamra Golf Apartments in Ras Al Khaimah
Upon initially engaging with Sherwoods, their service appeared satisfactory, as they successfully identified a rental property for me at the Golf Apartments in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK). However, several issues have since arisen with both the apartment itself and Sherwoods’ handling of these concerns, despite efforts made by Al Hamra to address the inherent problems in the complex.
After the rental agreement was finalized, Sherwoods' responsiveness to maintenance requests diminished notably. A specific instance involves payment for the replacement of a cracked and leaking toilet, which went unnoticed during the initial inspection. Despite making this payment, I have not received any reimbursement or follow-up regarding the matter.
Additionally, the property has experienced recurring issues, such as a mould-covered ceiling in the kitchen, caused by ongoing I believe moisture from the A/C pipe, which had the lagging replaced last year. Despite multiple attempts by Sherwoods to rectify this issue, the contractors they employ have failed to provide a lasting solution. I have observed a consistent pattern in Sherwoods’ use of these contractors, which raises concerns about the quality of services provided.
During their most recent visit, the contractors suggested reinstalling bathroom tiles as a temporary fix to conceal the leaks, despite the presence of a leak seeping through the insulation and another from a drain vent.
Currently, both Sherwoods and the contractors have ceased communication regarding this matter. In response, I am attempting to escalate the issue to the management at Sherwoods, as I believe this may be the next appropriate course of action to resolve the ongoing issues. It is my contention that Sherwoods bears responsibility for the selection of competent contractors and that they should seek an alternative contractor to properly address the unresolved problems in the apartment. The lack of communication and adequate resolution from Sherwoods has prompted this review, and I believe that they are not representing the owner to the fullest.
