Dishonest sales staff and incompetent shipping department
We ordered a True commercial cooler from Ancaster Foods after getting prices from several suppliers in Ontario. All of the prices for the coolers were within a few dollars, but Ancaster's price for the True castors were $350 cheaper than the other quotes. I called to enquire if they were indeed True brand castors and I was assured that they were. I was told that Ancaster Food Equipment buys them in bulk and supplies at a great price to their customers as a service. I believe I spoke to Tasha, but it might have been Ashley.
We purchased and arranged shipping of the cooler and I was told it would go out on a Monday to arrive on the Wednesday. i had to arrange to have a local moving company meet the driver and arrange to bring the cooler into our club. Imagine my surprise when I got a call on Monday from Purolator to say they were at the club with the cooler. We had to insist that we were not ready to accept delivery and the driver agreed to come back on Wednesday.
When the cooler was moved in on the Wednesday the movers offered to install the castors, but we could not locate the castors shims that were shown in the installation manual. I contacted Ancaster Foods and was finally told the there were no shims for the castors we had been sent, because those castors were not True brand castors, but they would be happy to sell us the True castors for $500.
I was told bold faced lies in order to secure a sale. Once they had the sale they rushed it out the door and ignored delivery instructions.
If you are looking for commercial equipment I suggest you look at a different company.
