Refusal to Accept Responsibility for Damages
On 4/16/24, Tramarcus Bell (Tee) arrived at my home to complete his first lawn care job. After he left, I went outside to find my yard, landscaping, and pool in total disarray. An area of grass scalped, the remainder of grass far too short, a palm damaged, ferns and plants chopped with a weedeater, an entire bush missing, my pool and pool deck full or debris, and my pool cage and neighbors roof with pieces of mulch on top.
I called Tee and left the issues with the landscaping alone but complained about the pool and deck. The initial bill was $345 so Tee "fired myself" cutting out the $120 monthly fee and $25 for pool cleaning making the total cost $200, which I paid that day.
On 4/17/24, the pool cleaning service arrived and found that the pool motor was damaged from all the debris that Tee and his crew had carelessly thrown into the pool with their weedeater. This got sucked through the system until the motor was damaged and the pool could no longer run. This all happened before I was able to know that the pool was being damaged by Tee and his crew's carelessness.
I contacted Tee regarding the damage to which he denied any responsibility texting, "What are you talking about!!! There is no way your blaming me for dust in your pool I broke a pump your pump had to be damaged between got there now your look to blame us no way..."
On 4/23/24, the repair service fixed the pool motor which was full of debris from the yard. I notified Tee who again denied responsibility texting that he doubted his "lil dust" was responsible for the damages. Further, he attempted to blame the pool cleaning service for negligence.
On 5/1/24, I received an invoice for $220 for repairs to the pool motor which I forwarded to Tee and requested that he pay me by 5/3/24. I have not received confirmation that this will be honored.
