JJ, at Salon Lyol, is quite simply the best hairdresser in Toronto. I know because I have the kind of hair that is a test--fine straight hair and not much of it. Any halfway decent hairdresser can do marvelous things with thick hair. It is the rare one who can do what JJ does every goddamn time with my fine hair--do a cut that looks great and is easy to live with. That takes a high level of skill plus patience. On top of that, JJ is a mensch who treats his employees with respect.
