PDS is the 3rd party system we use here at our Medical facility. We have a high-volume office. We frequently run out of toner. We put in service tickets and wait 9 to 14 days to get a new toner cartridge for our office's ONLY high-volume fax/copy machine. We have many potential patients but we cannot give new patient appointments, because we need all of their records. These are newly diagnosed cancer patients who need surgical intervention immediately and we are losing patients to our competitors as they won't wait over a week for us to call them back with an appointment. Everything is automated. We cannot talk to a live body and nobody in the automated system has answered any of my replies in service now. This is unacceptable for equitable patient care. Toner should be an easy task. I can change a cartridge in a matter of minutes. If we could just get backup cartridges sent, this problem would be resolved already. I have gone to the head of IT here and taken it as far as the COO of this organization. The excuse for this being a 3rd party system is getting very old and has been an ongoing problem for at least 2 years. This needs serious improvement.
