Bridge Taxi Finance handled the repossession wrongfully
I am deeply dissatisfied with the manner in which Bridge Taxi Finance handled the repossession of my Foton View vehicle. Based on my experience, the entire process appeared to lack transparency, professionalism, and adherence to what I understand to be the proper legal and procedural requirements that should be followed in such matters.
As a customer, I expected fair treatment, clear communication, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Instead, I was left feeling ignored, intimidated, and deprived of the opportunity to properly address the matter before such a drastic action was taken. Repossessing a vehicle is a serious step that has significant financial and personal consequences, and it should never be carried out in a manner that leaves consumers questioning whether their rights have been respected.
What is most concerning is the apparent failure to follow the correct processes before taking possession of the vehicle. There was inadequate communication and a lack of transparency regarding the steps being taken. This has created the impression that due process may not have been properly observed. Consumers deserve to be treated with dignity and afforded every opportunity to resolve disputes before enforcement action is taken.
The conduct of Bridge Taxi Finance in this matter has raised serious concerns for me, not only regarding this specific repossession but also regarding the company's broader business practices. Given the nature of my experience, I believe there is sufficient reason for the company itself to be investigated to determine whether its procedures, policies, and repossession practices consistently comply with applicable consumer protection and credit legislation.
As a result of this experience, I intend to escalate the matter to the National Credit Regulator (NCR) and formally request a comprehensive investigation into both the repossession of this vehicle and the conduct of Bridge Taxi Finance as a company. I believe it is in the public interest for the NCR to examine whether customers are being treated fairly, whether all legal requirements are being followed, and whether the company's practices align with the standards expected of registered credit providers.
Businesses operating in the vehicle finance industry have a responsibility to act ethically, lawfully, and transparently. Where there are credible concerns regarding compliance and consumer rights, those concerns should be thoroughly investigated by the relevant regulatory authorities.
I sincerely hope Bridge Taxi Finance takes this complaint seriously, conducts an internal review, and provides a clear and detailed explanation of the actions taken in this case. Until then, I cannot recommend their services and would urge prospective customers to carefully understand their rights and seek independent advice if they find themselves in a similar situation.
I will be pursuing all available avenues to ensure this matter receives the scrutiny it deserves, including lodging a formal complaint with the NCR and requesting that Bridge Taxi Finance's business practices be investigated in full. Accountability, transparency, and compliance with the law are not optional, they are essential
