I want to warn others about my experience with Global Telecom Supply. In my dealings with them I encountered a steady stream of misleading sales tactics, poor operations, and outright unprofessionalism.
From the start they pushed a 5‑year “equipment lease” that I was told would include service and support — yet the bank agreement contains no language promising voice services, features, or ongoing support. They verbally assured me “everything was included,” but when one of the phones failed I was told I needed to pay for a replacement. That’s unacceptable and feels intentionally deceptive: you should not be left responsible for replacement hardware when you were promised coverage.
The hardware they supplied was used and discontinued — outdated equipment that was unsupported and clearly inferior to new, vendor‑backed devices. That alone created unnecessary downtime and additional expenses for me.
They also made a bold claim that my Optimum bill would drop by $400/month due to an Optimum partnership. That turned out to be false. I discovered they aren’t partnered with Optimum, and I had to contact Optimum myself and pay for months of service that were never cancelled as they promised. That level of incompetence — or deception — is damaging and costly.
Upfront the salespeople are polished and persuasive, but once the contract is signed the company’s operations fall apart. Their post‑sale support is nonexistent. The woman in the office I dealt with was rude and unprofessional and had no real knowledge of the business when I raised legitimate questions. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told the owner is “absent.” That’s a red flag — who is accountable when problems arise?
Billing is opaque and taxes/fees are not handled transparently. I felt repeatedly stonewalled and forced to chase information and corrections that a reputable provider would have handled proactively. After doing my own research I learned they appear to have been in business only about a year and are reselling voice through SkySwitch — hardly the stable, reliable partner you want for core communications.
This was an expensive, stressful experience. Between the lease obligations, unsupported used hardware, false partnership claims, surprise charges, and terrible support, I would strongly advise you to steer clear. Choose a reputable, established provider that offers direct billing, clear contracts, supported new hardware, transparent taxes/fees, and accountable post‑sale service.
If you’re considering Global Telecom Supply, do yourself a favor: demand written, specific contract terms that clearly state what’s included; verify any “partnership” claims directly with the named vendor; and consider a provider with an established track record instead. I regret working with them and would not recommend Global Telecom Supply to anyone.
