We came across Royal Grand Events in 2022, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our daughter had a clear vision for her wedding, and we reached out to this event decorator. She reassured us that everything would be executed exactly as our daughter desired, and more. As we were not local to the Chicago area, we were informed that additional fees would apply for their travel and setup, including the need for extra workers. Our event was outdoors, and they emphasized the necessity of bringing a minimum of two to three additional workers to set up three different areas. We were also asked to cover their hotel accommodations for the night, as they would need to arrive a day prior to the event. We agreed to these terms. However, on the day of the event, only the event decorator and her husband arrived with a truck. They worked from morning to late afternoon, but their work was not well-organized, and the setup was not completed on time. In fact, the final result did not match our daughter's vision, and they failed to fulfill all the requested locations. Furthermore, they did not bring sufficient props, and I had to retrieve a rug and pillows from my home to supplement their inadequate supplies. The table decor was also subpar, and due to the insufficient workforce, they were still working as guests began to arrive, ultimately rushing to complete the setup. Due to their carelessness, I, the mother of the bride, was forced to delay my return home and preparation, as I had to assist them in completing their outstanding tasks in a timely manner.
We were denied a refund for the unfulfilled services and lack of support, and it appears they have adopted a policy of deception, exploitation and lies.
Below you will see a picture of the set up where all the pillows that are on the settee are from my home and the rug was brought out from my family room.
