Avoid So-Trak – Poor Installation, Worse Customer Service
I was sold a 3-year contract during a visit to my customers work site by an enthusiastic salesman, the trackers were installed soon after by So-Track’s fitter who admitted he was new to the job — and it showed. By the next day, all three units had flat batteries. The same fitter was sent back out, but the faults continued across all my machinery, and after that I was ignored and to this day have had no action.
I eventually paid for an independent engineer to inspect the work and verdict: poorly attached, substandard parts. I shared this report with So-Trak and was simply told they wouldn't send anyone else. When I escalated to Director Ben Booker, I was met with a dismissive, disagreeable response and a flat refusal to investigate further or aid unwinding the contract.
The leasing company used by So-Trac (Grenke) confirmed I can't exit the contract unless So-Trak admits the service is not adequate — which they refuse to do. As a customer, it feels as though once So-Trak have the contracts signed they have no incentive to look after any issues with serious intent, as they have your payments secured in this way.
I'm now stuck paying for equipment not fit for purpose and a service that was never fully delivered. Avoid.
