Our experience with Wellman Strata & Associates has been extremely disappointing and, in our view, well below the standard expected of a professional strata managing agent.
Over recent months, there have been repeated concerns about poor communication, failure to follow strata committee instructions, and decisions being made in a way that appeared to prioritise Wellman’s own interests rather than the Owners Corporation. This included AGM-related material being printed and issued despite the strata committee not directing that approach, delays or failures in providing requested drafts and information, and the AGM agenda being handled in a way that did not reflect what the committee had requested.
We also experienced issues with incorrect or inconsistent advice about by-laws, lack of transparency around key matters, and repeated frustration in trying to obtain clear, timely and accurate information. The handling of serious building and safety-related matters was particularly concerning, especially where information should have been clearly communicated to the strata committee and owners.
Overall, our experience left us with a serious lack of confidence in Wellman Strata’s governance, transparency, communication and professionalism. Based on our recent dealings, we could not recommend them.
