On Monday, June 1st at 11:30AM, I was asked by a resident who lives there if I had seen her friend, Mary Jean Dowling, who also lives there. She told me that she had not seen her in 4 days. I told her that I would check on her after I delivered my client's lunch. I knock on Mary Jean’s door and there was no answer. There was a note on the door that read just sleeping, I left. At 1:25pm, I went to the lobby and I talked to the receptionist and asked, if she had seen Mary Jean Dowling. I told the receptionist I had not seen her in 21/2 days. She said, she would check, but did not want to go by herself. The receptionist waited till the bus driver return from a run. I don’t know how long she waited. At 1:40pm, I went to the third floor; the receptionist and the bus driver were standing in the hallway in front of the missing resident’s door, which was opened. The house keeper was in the room, she came out and said, yes, she is on the bathroom floor and left. I went into the room and touched her leg, she felt cold and stiff, I called her name and she was unresponsive. Then I called 911 at 1:42pm. The bus driver stood there, with phone in hand, and did nothing. I came out and the manager and another lady went into the room. The manager told me to tell 911, she was alive. I hung up and left.
I went down to the lobby. An employee waved me into the office, and told me she was calling the falling residents daughter. I said OK. I went to the porch trying to get a WIFI signal to clock out. The other receptionist that comes on duty at 2:00pm was standing at the front door waiting for the ambulance to come. The ambulance came and she went outside and wave to the ambulance to stop. The ambulance saw her and backed up. I went back into the lobby and finally got a signal and clocked out at 2:03pm. I called my husband at 2:05pm and let him know I was coming home. I was never told what the protocol is if covenant residences needs help and what I was allowed to do to help.
Later that night, at 4:15pm I was called by my manager, and she told me the manager that runs Covenant Place told her I was not allowed on the Covenant Place premises because I did not work for Covenant Place and I should not have gone into the room or called 911. I am supposed to just walk away, which I was never told that was the policies. My Boss and My Co-Workers all said, they would have called 911 also. I do not feel I was treated justly and I believe the Managers are not taking care of the residents living there properly.
I believe the residents that live there are in danger.

PS: On June 12, 2026, we were told Mary Jean Dowling is doing fine at a hospital in Columbia.
