Horrible homes!
Horrible homes! We have been in our home for ALMOST 3 years and this home is already falling apart!
We were so excited to have our home but should have known during the initial inspection and fixing of the minor issues at the time of delivery that this home was not built well. We had cracks in our walls and ceiling from delivery, which were basically spackled over, resulting in them cracking again later on; cracking in our flooring (some from nailheads sticking up) that were fixed by melting furniture crayons into the cracks to give the appearance that they were fixed, and our glass door on the front was lined up perfectly to hit the doorknob of the main door so that it would not latch properly. They did replace the glass door with one that they "happened to have that fit" but was not the same door we purchased. When it was put into place I was told that I may need to get a rubber doorstop to attach to my deck??? just in case the door did not swing open from wind and hit the railing on the deck because they had to "shave" down the latch so it may not close properly...of course, that afternoon the new glass door was shattered. When I brought it up to maintenance, I was basically told that it was my issue. Fast forward to 3 years later, and our vinyl floors, walls, and ceilings are still cracking and now we have noticed swelling in our subfloor and door frame around our front door. When we called to address the issue, customer service told us that there was nothing they could help us with. When we said that we were going to have a licensed contractor assess the damage, we were hung up on without resolution.
