I am disgusted in the lack of community spirit displayed by Marburg Veterinary clinic boarding kennels. A cancer patient was asked to pay nearly two thousand dollars in boarding fees for their three little dogs while she was in Brisbane for cancer treatment at Princess Alexandra Hospital. The vet practice knew why the dogs were there as the patient was not able to give them a date of pick up as she did not know when she would be well enough to collect the dogs. They were in there for 3 weeks. The patient is a pensioner and had no choice but to board the dogs there. She paid the money which was her bill money. Would you not think that Marburg Vet clinic would have showed some community spirit and compassion and offered some sort of discount to help this lady out, as she had been a good customer of the practice in her working days, but is now unable to work.
