Poor communication. Very high pickup and delivery rates (48 m: $636).
I have had 2 similar experiences with Foltz Ag regarding an LS Tractor I bought approximately 6 years ago.
1st: I had purchased a tractor and fork lifts for the front end loader. The purchase included one free pickup and delivery of the tractor for service. Upon delivery, the owner bent one of the handles on the front end loader as he incorrectly hooked the fork lift, upon unloading it. He asked if I wanted him to come back and repair it. I said yes. Later, when I needed some actual repair on the tractor, he charged me for the pickup and delivery service, due to the fact that he had already come out to the farm to bring a new handle to replace the one he had bent. No communication whatsoever that his trip would be my free trip, despite the fact that I did not cause the issue with the new equipment. Upon my complaint, the owner said that they can't afford to give extra trips out. That's unethical when you're paying for new equipment, and they damaged it.
2nd: I recently had an entire tune up and overview of the entire tractor completed, which was agreed to based on the fact that I needed to have a significant oil leak repaired underneath the tractor. After the work was completed and I received the tractor, I used it for 8 hours of use and, unfortunately, had not checked to see if the tractor was still leaking upon delivery, as I just assumed it was repaired. I noticed it was leaking significantly again on the barn floor. I called it in and was told "Our work is guaranteed". I was assuming this would be covered, as it looked exactly as it had before. I was never told prior to work being completed that I owed them another $1,182 for pickup/delivery and labor to fix a $37.50 part.
Although it is possible the 2nd issue was actually a new one, it had the exact same symptoms and, if new, showed up immediately (didn't look until 8 hours of usage, though, since I was over a clean floor and saw the leaking). In my opinion, Foltz Ag is interested in profit more than in customer service. Communication is poor and, if you have other options, I would certainly recommend looking into them.
