A "Next generation school" that never quite arrived.
We enrolled our child after being impressed by the school’s “next generation” branding, Cambridge curriculum promises, modern campus, and positive reviews. Initially, it seemed like a progressive institution, but over two years our experience did not match the expectations created during admission.
For a premium-fee school, academic materials often relied on low-quality photocopied worksheets instead of proper Cambridge textbooks. The much-promoted PLP (Personalized Learning Program) appeared generic in practice, with similar worksheets given to many students regardless of individual learning needs. We also noticed a slow academic pace, limited critical thinking opportunities, inconsistent support for struggling students, and high teacher turnover affecting continuity.
The open-concept classrooms without proper sound separation made concentration difficult due to constant noise from nearby classes. Communication with parents was limited, with feedback mostly restricted to quarterly PTMs and little clarity on grading or improvement plans.
Another serious concern was constant bullying by senior students. We felt these incidents were not handled with the seriousness, accountability, or sensitivity expected from the school, which affected our child’s confidence and overall comfort at school. We also observed that there was favoritism by certain teachers toward specific students, which at times made other children feel ignored or left out.
Considering the high fees, facilities such as labs, library resources, sports infrastructure, and IT support felt limited. There were also very few meaningful co-curricular activities included within the regular curriculum. Programs such as proper computer classes, structured arts training, or organized sports often required additional fees or lacked proper planning and infrastructure. Washroom cleanliness and learning support also appeared inconsistent.
Traffic congestion during drop-off and pick-up, poor parking management, dust from the busy road, and unpleasant surroundings near the market area added to the daily stress. We were also uncomfortable that children were mainly received by male security staff without female staff present at the entrance.
The Annual Day and “Kcreate” awards lacked transparency, and the event arrangements were cramped and uncomfortable. Concerns regarding the proposed new campus near industrial units were also not clearly addressed.
After two years, we did not see the growth or quality we were promised. For our family, the experience became emotionally and financially disappointing. This review reflects our personal experience, and we encourage parents to carefully evaluate all aspects before making an admission decision.
