As a single mom, reliable childcare is everything to me, and unfortunately SonShine Christian Academy in Fort Wayne has made that incredibly difficult. After multiple occasions of seeing Miss Amber talk down to the kids, ignore them while on her phone, and speak negatively about another staff member, I’ve reached the point where I feel I have no choice but to pull my child out immediately.
What’s even more disappointing is that these issues have been ongoing, yet she remains on staff. It’s made me question the overall quality of hiring and supervision at this center. I shouldn’t have to choose between keeping my child here or asking a family member with limited ability to step in, but that’s how uncomfortable this situation has become.
I hope the administration takes these concerns seriously, because families deserve better and children deserve a safe, respectful environment.
