3 stars bc certain staff
I do want to start off saying that I felt pretty much comfortable and safe for my stay there. What the problem was is that they don't allow you to correct your children as u see fit. I had said something to an "advocate" named Makenzie about at least having some suitable suggestions if you're going to tell me I'm not even able to raise my voice in order to let my 4 yr old Know I mean business. (If it makes a difference, she was hitting another child so it needed to be corrected right then and there. not later) I honestly didn't think that would be a problem bc THAT IS A REAL ISSUE that needed to be considered. However, she intentionally was listening to my talk to txt with a friend about my frustration with it all. Then went and told the staff that I was being loud on purpose to be intimidating and threatening. No, the reality of that is,that the office is in front of the playroom and you aren't even allowed to walk away from your child. There were 0 threats made and I certainly wasn't talking loudly just so she could hear me. She definitely sat there and listened to what I had to say and then went and told whomever is over her that I was intimidating her.(Most likely because of what I had said to her earlier about me not being able to correct my child) What SHOULD have happened is someone approach me and talk to me about what happened, but instead she was able to lie and twist things and get me put out of there! and on top of that they gave me ONE HOUR to pack on my stuff AND find somewhere for me and my four year old to go when I'm not even from around here. I was given no warnings, no second chance, no option to apologize because I made her feel uncomfortable-NOTHING. This being supposedly a Christian place, I definitely would have thought a lot better of their procedures for this type of thing. Plus, the lady that was actually speaking to me about the situation, didn't even want to listen to what I had to say. She just took what Makenzie said and ran with it, which isn't fair either BC there's always two sides to something like that. I DEFINITELY WASN'T TREATED LIKE THEY HAD ANY EMPATHY COMPASSION OR CONCERN. Thank the Lord I DID have some really good friends to come to my rescue because they were literally about to just leave me at the safety center with nowhere to go. And showed very much that they did not care.
