Unhappy With Appriasal
I had Austin Appraisals conduct an appraisal on a rent house we own in Austin. He could not find comps in the 78703 zip code area, so he used what he called comps in less expensive neighborhoods. This may be permissable for appraisers but I question the valuation.
He made at least 4 mistakes in the report which he corrected each time I found one but he referred to them as 'typos" and has never apologized for sloppy work. One was the Sale Price/GLA which was 50% more than it should have been. He is overly defensive and has yet to understand my concern about the entire report, not just the valuation.
