I am glad to hear it is good
I was there in 1957 Until the year 1960... It was pretty rough I was on 1st floor, The facility was run by Nuns. My nun was Mother Catherine labrette Not sure if that's how you spell the last name But you did have to call her mother. I was 13 at the time When I entered Saint Ann's. My stepfather Didn't want me there at home Said I was hard to deal with.... But I was glad to get away because I was getting beat all the time But it wasn't a whole lot better At St. Ann's , Mother used to lock me in a broom closet Because I used to say the word SH - T I remember she she hit me with her hard black shoes And slap me for acting like Elvis Presley singing his songs.... And my job was to scrub the Stone stairs going from the bottom floor up to the top with Brown soap and scrub brush that was my after school job..Then somebody came in with bugs in her hair And someone got mad at me because I really didn't want to have the bug stuff in my hair because I didn't go near that girl and then they threw the bottle in my face and it broke and I had to go to the hospital and they picked the glass glass out of my eyes... It was pretty rough back then. But I was glad to read the good experiences that people have had there since then and now I'm glad that it's run with better Superiors And not nuns. They had a very sweet lady though she was French that worked there her name was Simone She always liked me and tried to protect me. I sure would like to know how How some of them girls are Today And if they're even alive. As I am myself 81... I would love to come and visit someday and see how things have changed As I wonder. Thank you for reading my review... Carol
