Root Canal Follow Up Pain
This was the 2nd time my wife had an appointment with Aimee Trabold D.M.D. My wife asked for me to be present during the discussion of options regarding her root canal aftercare pain. My wife explained she has a disability, deaf in her right ear, and needed me to hear what the options were. Apparently Dr. Trabold doesn't understand the American Disability Act (ADA).
After much dismay from Dr. Trabold I was "allowed" to be present, even though I was on my wife's HIPPA form for sharing information. Dr. Trabold was extremely unprofessional, when I tried to ask for clarification e.g. She stated my wife will be on an antibiotic for 7 days, I asked Dr. Trabold if my wife had an infection. Dr. Trabold stated, "You are attacking me!" I asked a follow up question and finally her answer was "No there is no infection." Dr. Trabold wouldn't tell me why then an antibiotic was prescribed.
Dr. Trabold also stated to my wife, "If you were 18 it would be different." My wife asked for clarification of why 18, what does that mean? Dr. Trabold stated, "You would heal quicker if you were younger." The constant down talking to both of us is ridiculous. Dr. Trabold needed to state this in a different way.
Medical professionals always say ask questions. But when you do and trying to be an advocate for my wife, I am considered combative. I asked follow up questions. I will continue to do so.
