Cost unrealistic vs cost for electricity.

Energir natural gas is solely used to heat my water heater. Cost of approximately $40 per month considered high in view of usage (2 loads of laundry every 2 weeks, showers taken mainly out of unit, 1 dishwasher load per week). This cost represents 50% of cost charged by Hydro Quebec for all other usages of my condo unit. Does not appear realistic! Will be converting to electricity in 2029 when water heater will need to be changed to avoid the base fee charged by both Energir and Hydro Quebec.
