I recently had a kitchen renovation and decided to have a granite counter top installed by Home Depot/Stonewrx. What I thought was a great decision turned out to be a disaster. The countertop was not installed properly and caused water damage to the drywall behind the sink. They finally came back to remove the counter top while I fixed the drywall at my own cost. The counter top is re-installed, but still not the best work and the caulking is insufficient causing water to once again drip down the wall. I will be fixing this myself. I tried to recoup the $1400 additional cost, but was just advised that the poor installation is my fault and I will not be re-imbursed. The second installer even commented to my contractor and myself that the first job was very poorly done. Every time I look at it now, I just feel supremely disappointed. I should have gone with laminate, which is what I had before and I was happy with it. If you are thinking about getting a new countertop, I suggest you look elsewhere. I hope my review helps someone to avoid the same situation and frustration. Thank you.
