For the past five years, Orangewood has faced ongo...
For the past five years, Orangewood has faced ongoing challenges stemming from poor management by its HOA/COA board members. These issues include substantial financial mismanagement, conflicts of interest and inconsistent, selective enforcement of governing documents and community rules.
Despite numerous special assessments, $$$$$ little to no meaningful progress has been made, the buildings, landscaping, and overall exterior look shockingly ugly and downright dreadful for well over a year now. The whole place is utterly unattractive and has been completely neglected for far too long.
The stairs and decks are in deplorable and hazardous condition, with extensive wood rot throughout. The City of Port Charlotte has deemed them unsafe and has marked the most dangerous sections with yellow tape on multiple buildings. We, the residents who live here see and deal with these unsafe conditions every day.
As a result, community trust in the long‑serving board members, especially the Treasurer has declined rapidly. Grace has been collecting $$$$$$ and managing the association’s funds since 2021, and many years later 2026 Orangewood looks completely neglected .
Fresh, transparent and accountable leadership is essential to rebuilding our long‑neglected property and creating a stronger, healthier and more unified community, we need new Treasurer members grounded in transparency, accountability and integrity, necessary to restore trust and strengthen our community moving forward.
For the good of Orangewood, it is time for the current Treasurer to step aside and allow new leadership to take charge!
Just drive by and see for yourself how horrible this place is
