Zora's House is a non-profit coworking and community space that was built by and for women and gender expansive people of color. The organization was founded in 2018 by two women who were passionate about creating a safe space for underrepresented groups to work, learn, grow, and thrive.

The name "Zora" comes from the famous African American writer Zora Neale Hurston who once said: "I have been in Sorrow's kitchen and licked out all the pots. Then I have stood on the peaky mountain wrapped in rainbows with a harp and sword in my hands." This quote embodies the spirit of Zora's House - it is a place where individuals can overcome their struggles (Sorrow's kitchen) to reach new heights (the peaky mountain wrapped in rainbows).
