Crawfish etoufee, chicken fried steak and calamari...
Crawfish etoufee, chicken fried steak and calamari were all good. Beers were cold. We had Texas brews. Devin was a great server. Liked the old baseball pictures on the walls.

This is always our "go to" spot for a great dinner with solid drinks. The food quality is consistently top notch and the staff always makes us feel welcome. They worked hard in 2020 to remain open and provide the best service possible under the pandemic guidelines and conditions. We have continued to dine at Mac's on a regular basis and would encourage anyone who hasn't been there to give them a try.
Went there for my birthday this last Saturday and have to say I was pretty disappointed with my meal. I have heard wonderful things about this place, but the prime rib was not very good. My dad and step mom enjoyed their seafood dishes at least. I won't be ordering the prime rib if I ever go again. Service and everything else was great though.
The food, and the service, was excellent! My daughter and I had a lovely Mother's Day dinner. The Chilean Sea Bass with crawfish and linguine was delicious.
We drove a 100 miles to get here. It s worth the drive. Never disappoints. Love love Macs! #bestbrunchontheplanet
I ve been going to Mac s for years. It s one of the few places for really good food & service in Arlington. But not anymore. I base this on my last 2 visits. The food is still good but the service is awful. Went today for brunch. Waited 20 minutes with no waiter coming to take our drink order, even give us water. Finally, I signaled to the manager who was hanging out with the hostess & asked where our waiter was. He got huffy with me & told me the waiters are busy. Then turned around & left us. I got the same lousy service at lunch a few months ago. Seated & then ignored & then when we politely called over a wait staff person, we were rudely told we re busy. Don t go there & spend good money to be treated shabbily. For the prices, expect good food & good service. Mac s fails at the service
My two kids and I came here for brunch on a pretty Sunday afternoon. After we ordered, my kids were delighted when we received a plate full of warm cinnamon bites to share and also an individual plate for each of us containing various fruit - watermelon, pineapple, strawberries, etc. The cinnamon bites aren't as good as homemade ones, but they were soft enough and still delicious. Kind of a sugary start to a meal, but like the waitress told me when ordering, "Why not? It's Sunday!" I ordered the Southern Eggs Benedict (gravy on the side), which honestly looked a lot like my son's kid's meal for twice the price. I would order something else if I went again. The eggs were light and fluffy, but the sausage wasn't my favorite - dense and a bit small. Overall, we enjoyed the food but could probably have cooked it ourselves at home the way we like it for half the price. Our server was friendly enough but super fast with my refills, so that works for me!
Met our long time friends from college at Mac s as we drove through DFW. They suggested the place and we expected the best. We were seated promptly, the food was great, and the bill was reasonable. The atmosphere and cleanliness were what anyone would want. We ll make sure to come back by again in the future.
I am always looking for a really good chicken fried steak and I do believe my search has ended because Mac's has the best chicken fried steak I have ever tasted. The breading was perfect and the steak was tender and tasty. The service was outstanding also which made for a great evening.
It's raining again...I just picked up food and Gordon ran it out to my car with the most
pleasant attitude. What a great employee!!
I got almost home and turned around to come back to tell him how much I appreciated his attitude. I feel like we need more people in the service industry just like him!!! A great experience on a pretty nasty day. He didn't seem to mind at all coming out to bring my order. Kudos Gordon.
