We used to love going to this restaurant but now it has put us down.. The quality of food is not up to the mark (no taste or flavour), as how it used to be before.. The servers are very pleasent but the chefs/cooks at the noodles section (Chinese/Japanese cuisine counter) are the total opposite - rude & mean.. Bad experience..

It's OK. It's like a huge Jimmy Spices. Not my cup of tea, but I prefer independent places. It's great for big parties and families. There's a bar downstairs which is really big and does cocktails. Again, they're fine, but it's a big chain ambience.

Enough people on here have described in fine detail the dismal experience they had here, so I'll keep it simple.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

The food is *all* thoroughly awful, and tastes like Tesco ready meals...The service is bad and the staff don't care. The decor is just about slightly interesting, which is good because if it wasn't, it would feel like a prison canteen.

And to top it all off, you'll find yourself paying a LAUGHABLE amount of money with which you could have got a darn nice steak dinner somewhere else.

Think twice before you agree to let your friends take you here...

Another visit today, firstly I have to say our runner, Wilson that took us showed some on the highest levels of customer service I have seen. Exceptionally polite, attentive and cheerful. Asked us later how are food was, and even walked us to the exit, thanking us and wishing us a lovely day.
SHOULD ANYONE FROM ZA ZA READ THIS, THAT YOUNG MAN DESERVES A PROMOTION. A CREDIT TO YOUR RESTAURANT.
Food was fresh and delicious, staff attentive and helpful. Always great value and a great experience.
What can you say, amazing value for money. Freshly cooked food, friendly customer service and great variety.

Food was mediocre. Don't expect it to be the standard of a restaurant at this price point. Staff didn't give off a positive vibe either. However it would be a good place for families with children.

This was my third visit to Za Za Bazaar,2 of my visits have been in the afternoon and 1 in the evening. The evenings have a lot more choice of food but the afternoons have more than enough different foods out to please everyone. I found the More

Ok, I was going to keep this to my close friends, but you should all know.
Great food from all over the world. Great prices and a great atmosphere. There is a wonderful view over the floating harbour while you eat and enjoy your time here. I took all my family and will go back again and again. It is like being on an all inclusive holiday, but with a variety of quality food to choose from. We ate at other places in Bristol which were smaller and they couldn't beat the quality or price. If you are going book in advance or you may be disappointed.

By far the best banquet that I have visited. The choice is tremendous and the food is well cooked. Our empty plates were cleared from the table promptly and all dishes on offer were well stocked despite the high volume of diners present at the restaurant.

Zaza is a staple venue for our family and friends. Always come away full with some story or other. Food is good and the Tandoori is almost as good as my mothers! Staff always willing to listen to suggestions and advice. Well done!

As a frequent visitor to za za bazaar, I can confirm that the wide variety of options are insane. There are 6 different categories of food with a large variety of foods within, although some food can be found in other categories too (e.g. rice). The quality of the food is good but the only thing preventing the restaurant from 5 stars is the room layout. Everyone gets cramped when getting food and it's also a bit cramped at tables too, making it unpleasant to get more.

A deal that leaves much to be desired, poorly explained operation and a ridiculous time limit in which you do not have time to eat. It is of no use that there is a great variety of food if you have to run and hurry. 45 minutes...

A good selection of regional style cuisine across Chinese, Indian, Mexican, grill, pasta and pizza, salad and so forth in a harbourside setting. The atmosphere is a bit different though, it feels less like a restaurant and more towards a canteen with its high ceiling and table layout. Decor reflects the different cuisines depending on where you sit in relation to the different buffet stops.

The employees don't care what we do there there were some people throwing garlic bread on the floor and I told an employee that they were being rude and silly they said 'It's ok that they throw garlic bread on the floor' I was really angry about that.

The food was good but some were really dry. When I asked for spaghetti with no spice they added a lot of spice in what I don't really like.

It's a good buffet, you have to book, and you have 1:30 hours to eat, the menu with water is 10 pounds, there is Chinese food, Tex Mex, India and such, it lacks a little seafood, but it's fine.

Quite a unique dining experience. You get checked in at the door and you're given an allotted amount of time to get your fill.

Plenty of stations from Asian to European, whatever you're looking for, they've probably got! The quality of the food is definitely worth the amount you're paying.

Be ready to be stuffed and rolled out through the front doors. I quite enjoyed it here. They've also got a great selection of cocktails if you're looking to get a little buzz going.

Excellent Buffet, one of the largest I have ever known. Various dishes from different parts of the world. Great service. There are several Spanish waitresses who attended us and advised us very well.

We visited on a cold weekday night without booking in first. Few people and lots of tables available. The chef from the Indian side was especially courteous. Food was good. Dessert nothing special. I would say a bit expensive for the services provided. Generally a good experience.

Great place and variety of dishes which some are more popular than others. Although some food seems to be sat under hot lamps for some time. Live cooking very good although we didn't try this. Only one let down was that even though the restaurant wasn't full for the time we arrived all other diners were cramped into the corner of the whole place.

I have been here couple of times and it is one of the best place for indian food. The chats and snacks are just so good. I haven't much had the main course . It is actually worth the money. I usually eat lot of starters and then desserts. I am not quite sure of lunch here because I have only been to dinner.

If you are visiting, some pointers to be aware of:

Firstly the negatives:
Your table is booked for a specific time and you won't be able to sit down until that time, therefore expect a queue as a lot of people will be doing the same. We where booked for 6pm but after queuing didn't sit down until 6:10pm

Your table is time limited so don't expect to sit and relax for too long after you've finished, we felt a bit rushed to eat and get out.

The staff seemed a bit complacent and rushed when we went as if it was get in and get as as quick as possible.

Now the positives:
The menu selection is really good and has a very wide variety.

My advice, each smaller portions to avoid filling up too early.

Try as much as you like as its all included in the price.

On some of the stations you can have it cooked freshly infront of you. (Although don't always expect a smile)

In summary, Zaza Bazaar is a great concept and will guarantee to have something for everyone in your party. Just beware though, don't expect to be greeted with great customer service or to have loads of time to sample everything.
