About Younger women's task force
The Younger Women's Task Force (YWTF) is a non-profit organization that aims to empower younger women and promote gender equity. The organization was founded in 2005 by a group of young women who were frustrated with the lack of opportunities for their age group to get involved in advocacy work. Since then, YWTF has grown into a national network with chapters across the United States.
The mission of YWTF is to provide younger women with the tools and resources they need to become leaders in their communities and advocate for change. The organization focuses on issues such as reproductive justice, economic empowerment, racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, and more.
One of the key ways that YWTF achieves its mission is through networking events and professional development opportunities. Members have access to workshops, mentorship programs, and leadership training sessions that help them build skills and connect with other like-minded individuals.
In addition to these resources, YWTF also engages in advocacy work at both the local and national levels. The organization works on policy initiatives related to gender equity issues such as equal pay for equal work, affordable childcare options for working parents, access to healthcare services including reproductive health care services among others.
YWTF also partners with other organizations that share its values and goals. By collaborating with groups such as Planned Parenthood or National Organization for Women (NOW), YWTF can amplify its message while building relationships within the broader social justice community.
Overall, YWTF is an excellent resource for younger women who are looking to make a difference in their communities while building their professional skills. With its focus on networking opportunities alongside advocacy work at both local & national levels - it provides members an opportunity not only grow professionally but also contribute towards creating positive change within society!
