Your team really needs to return phone calls. I was hoping to explore bringing my commercial business to York Traditions but the lack of communications was a severe turn off for me. Its been over a week and I still have no communication. I have elected to move elsewhere, but I wanted to leave a review so that someone would know that this is an issue. I wish you the best and maybe our paths will cross again.

My first experience with York Traditions Bank wasn t what I expected - in fact, I wasn t expecting to deal with a bank at all at the time.

The CEO of the company was personally representing the bank at a young professionals event. I talked. He listened. Then I called him months later thinking he would ignore me. He didn t. He met a 20-something kid - with no real prospects at all - for lunch.

Since that time, I ve learned the principles behind his thinking. Every opportunity presented to York Traditions Bank is an opportunity to move things forward - community things, family things, business things, people things.

That s why I m York Traditions Bank.

Avoid at all costs! I initially liked the idea of using a local company for my mortgage, but it was one of the most unorganized, frustrating experiences of my life. Lack of communication, miscommunication, lack of follow up and lost paperwork plagued my new mortgage from beginning to end... and beyond! All the issues were compounded by them never taking ownership of their multitude of errors. I wanted to walk away several times, but I was on a tight timeline and needed the funds. Even after the mortgage was complete, they had to keep contacting me for paperwork that they misplaced. Fortunately, York traditions doesn t actually service mortgages and they sold it to another mortgage company (which negated most of the benefits of going local). However, I m elated that I no longer have to deal with York Traditions. I still receive correspondence from York Traditions, which they sent to my previous address. Since they mortgaged my new home, shouldn t they have my correct address? Just another example of their lack of organization.

Very misleading. I have excellent credit and make about 50 Grand a year and wanted a land for 50 Grand over 30 years with 20% down one of my cars is a 2016 and completely paid off one has $2,000 left on it and I have about a $600 balance on One credit card and they told me that my debt to income ratio was too high for a $250 a month loan over 30 years(BALLOON AFTER 5). I understand the numbers and realize that it would have been tight but it was my decision if I wanted to eat bologna sandwiches and spaghetti for a while until I could get where I want it to be. I know they do not count what I have in stocks and 401k but these people were unreasonable from the start. Not willing to work the numbers I had to pull teeth to get them to do a workup and NEVER got.a truth in lending. I was misled. I was approved at another bank previously with decent rates at the same amount of money down 80% loan to value which was is good to me... 20% down. Never once did they ask me if I'd be willing to put more money down to lower the monthly payment. They just offended me by offering me a $10,000 loan which is totally unacceptable. I want to warn anyone that goes there to be careful because they are not up front and transparent. They wouldn't give me anything on paper. I recommend People's Bank over them any day very nice people at People's Bank.. I think they were aggravated because I wanted to compare two Banks Against One another and they did not like it. The First Response upon request for truth in Lending paper was I can talk to my mortgage advisor and draw up rough numbers. Beware these people are all for themselves even if offering me $10,000 does suggest they were asking me to put more money down they gave me an offer that I had to refuse on purpose.
My car payment that has a 2000,00 balance is roughly 250.00 a month, My cable bill is 160.00 a month @ no time did the Rep. from YORK tradition ever talk to me about paying them off or my 600 dollar credit card balances... Disclaimer this is my view on what happened in detail and I am in no way bitter at them as I already have an offer from People's Bank. Sharon Palma is Stellar Professional and Friendly. YORK TRADITIONS .....DO NOT REPLY TO THIS REVIEW...IT WILL BE MISLEADING AS WELL!

If you like receiving monthly fees for letting your money sit in an account, this is the bank for you. The online platform is extremely far behind what other banks in the area offer. Employees of this financial institution seem to forget about the end consumer. I d recommend other local banks over this one.
