The Strand Capitol is such a beautiful theatre; an icon of York city, PA, where you can leave the hustle and bustle of every day city life, to be entertained for a night by famous performances, comedians and singers alike. An absolutely beautiful piece of architectural wonder and is affordable for all classes and walks of life. Here is a tip: their back door into cherry lane, behind the theater is where to be at the shows end if you are looking for an autograph or picture with your favorite entertainers.

Yesterday's Holiday Concert was over the top.
We've attended quite a few of these over the years and somehow they manage to trump the previous year's event. The concert yesterday started with the most creative rendition of the Twelve Days of Christmas I've ever heard. I wasn't sure how the F & M College African Drum ensemble would fit in with a Christmas program but their performance was also over the top.

Awesome pops opener tonight with "Classical Night Fever!" The performance of 1970s music demonstrated the incredible sound and versatility of the orchestra. They blew the dust off the chandeliers - bravo!
