YMCA of Hyde Park - Camp Ponkapoag Review

The place usually crowded with kids who are not to exercise but to hang out and make the equipments not available to others. Some of the programs are really poor. I enrolled my daughter for a swimming class, the instructor did not know what he was doing and had no personality for an instructor

Great place and very clean is a must to me. But one thing I don't like is the pool is not available on Saturday. the only time I have to be with My daughter. they need to change that to spend quality time with my daughter. .........

No complaints about the facilities which are physically appealing, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

I signed up and paid for swim classes and then became ill in 2012. I was instructed by my doctor to hold off with lessons, so I had to reschedule the class. I left several detailed messages with the aquatics contact about the issue, who only called back once, (after my repeated messages), and then did not leave any detailed information on how I could transfer my credit to the next class. I was just told to call her back. I went to the Y's front desk and asked to speak to the aquatics contact who was not available, nor was the Director available.

Frustrated, I then called to speak to the Director during business hours and was sent to his voicemail on which I left a short message asking to him to call me to discuss the lack of information and response. He never even bothered to call me back.

This Y seems to be fine as long as you don't have any issues that you need to actually talk to someone about. Very poor customer service.

My experience at this location has been unpleasant. The staff is not professional at all and the swimming lessons on Sundays are a joke. They are unorganized and do not seem to know what is going on. I am very disappointed as I expected way better from this location. The members are lovely and that part of our experience has been pleasant.

Menino Hyde Park YMCA has a pool and a very nice daily activities such as yoga, strong Zumba, group bicycling, exercise equipment such as weight training, ellipticals and treadmills, etc. Trainers and instructors are very friendly, effective, and knowledgeable in what they do. Enough to keep an active member busy every day. Highly recommended.

I joined the Y since beginning of the year and it's being really good, amazing pool with sauna. The classes in the studio are awesome and really enjoy a lot to be around people from the neighborhood at the classes. The service at the front desk is also good and really helpful, I had an issue with a payment and the gave it a solution quickly and efficiently. Definitely give this location an 5

Is nice friendly place recomerec the dance class Tuesday and Wednesday professional staff child support love it

I pay for a membership to this place but can t take a dip in the pool after work days in the summer due to lessons in only half of the pool with the other half open. In what world does this make sense.

Ive never been involved with this camp but today i am a witness of their camp at the free friday day at the easton childrens museum and i am disgusted by the way the staff is treating these children from the moment i saw them step off the bus. They do not have control of them and they are just straight up mean to the children, yelling at them in front of other patrons and families, grabbing their arms too much. I have been in child care for many years. Camp counseling for about 5. These children can be handled better. Its making me want to leave this awesome day at the museum because i hate seeing how poorly these children are being treated. Also, they are taking up so much of a public space that it is really sad that the other children dont get a chance to experience the museum.

Hours suck huge nuts! I am a working adult why the hell aren't you open after 6pm on Saturday?

Too many little kids hanging out and not working out, not enough classes, and the cancelation policy is unclear and changes everyday. They charged me two months because they "forgot" to cancel. Unprofessional but I guess that is what you get with so many teens working there.

All employees (front desk, coaches, executives) are always willing to help you. They treat you with a lot of courtesy and kindness.
