Great for the whole family we went today and had a absolute blast. The banana boat is a must do it was so exhilarating. If you're a date devil try out the slide into the lake, I literally seen my life flash before my eyes but in a good way. The staff was friendly, and the life guards really take safety seriously which was a plus for me. We'll continue coming back and enjoying all it had to offer.

About a year ago, I attended a wedding in the hall, and I have to say, it s been one of my favorite venues ever. It s spacious and beautiful all around. Even the staff, you could tell put their whole heart into everything they did, and it made for a great experience for us doing clean up as well as the bride and groom making sure the process was smooth sailing for them.

Even though it s a bit out of town, if you re looking for a beautiful wedding on the river, this should be in the top of your list.

The kids have gone every summer for years! The day camp might as well be an overnight camp; it's jam packed w/ Epic-ness. My girls LOVE the overnight camp. The facilities are high end. The activities are non stop fun; for brainy kids, athletic kids, extroverts or introverts. The creativity and energy of the staff is out of control. When we moved to California we didn't bother looking for a new local camp. I just flew them to Widji...and yes, the counselors picked them up at the airport!

This is our summer tradition. The kids impatiently count down every year. I have a mixed bag of personalities and talents in my household. All of them come home excitedly talking over each other about how great it was. Highly recommend.

Definitely the best Summer Camp your child could ever wish for! So much fun, so many new friends, amazing memories and loads more. Camp Widjiwagan has changed my life and I am forever grateful for the councilors and campers at camp! Would definitely recommend going there for the Summer.!

Nice place to hang out with family, friends, kids.. Lake is the best part. Nice place for corporate activity. Various activities for all ages. Large water slide going into the late water is for thrill loving adults. Swimming pool, banana rides are fun. Various activities for kids.. employees are friendly. They have a golf cart too which you can freely if you prefer not to walk. All in all a nice place to spend your day.

Camp Widjiwagan is fun at the daytime most definitely. They have everything under the sun like an alpine tower an recreational center and although ive never been to the summer camp my friend has and it sounds family friendly. The only problem is the cost i mean youve gotta be making big bucks to send your kid here so good luck.

Camp Widjiwagan used to be 5 stars all the way. My now 20 year old son, went every summer from ages 6-12. This is the first year for my youngest son who's 7, and probably the last. We couldn't wait for him to go to experience the camp and facilities. On Monday, they didn't pair him with his buddy. Starting on Wednesday they just about ran out of food during lunch. My son said he only got 1 chicken taco. He asked for a second and was told there wasn't anymore. The camp says "all you can eat", but never seem to have enough for even a second serving. The kids are doing high energy activities, and need the food for energy. I called this morning to complain about the food situation, and the day camp coordinator said he'd handle it. Well, my son said it was the same today. So, for $330 for this one week, he can't even get enough to EAT for lunch. SMH

This camp is renovated, beautiful, and full of a peaceful vibe that takes you back to the childhood camping resort that you actually never attended because it was too expensive. This place is dope.

What and amazing place to come to. We had our company (Cummins) 100 year celebration here. It was simply amazing and I wish I had something like this when I was little. They have this huge water slide that goes into the lake, the blob that one person jumps on and shoots another out into the lake. Zip lines, rock climbing, archery, and so much more. This place is simply the coolest

My daughter attended this summer for one week of daycamp. This was her first experience at Widjiwagan and she was excited to go with a friend who was also attending for the first time. Financially, this was a big sacrifice for us as it cost 4X what we pay for a week at her regular camp but we wanted her to have exposure to the variety of activities listed in the book. Unfortunately, it rained a lot the week she went and prevented her from experiencing many of the things she had looked forward to trying. On paper it looks like a well oiled machine but to hear her stories, it sounded like organized chaos. She never did get to participate in drama which was her #1 choice. I can't understand why rain interfered with that. She did have some good times but even she did not feel it was worth the expense. For folks who can afford to go multiple weeks or all summer, rainy days are probably only a blip on the radar. For families who sacrifice for their child to go the one week and it rains 3 of those 5 days, it would be nice to know a good rain plan is in place to ensure some variety. She was excited about marksmanship but apparently some of the equipment had not come in yet so they were limited on this activity as well.

My daughter had an amazing first camp experience. I highly recommend Camp Widji. Everyone there is so nice and welcoming. My daughter didn't wanna leave! So much fun. Can't wait for next year. :)

Of the 5 years my son has gone here, this one has been the poorest experience. I have made 3 attempts to get a question answered via phone and email but have yet to get a response. I know they're busy, but more than a week is plenty of time to acknowledge a paying customer. As others have stated, I also believe the quality of leadership has declined.

Our 10 & 12 year old sons love coming here for Camp Sugar Falls. Camp Sugar Falls is a day camp with doctors and nurses for diabetic kids, their siblings, and friends. As a mom with a diabetic child I know he is safe, having an amazing time, and his medical needs are being well taken care of. 2018 was the second year my boys attended. They have the best time with all the outdoor activities. Archery, water slides, gaga ball, kangaroo jump, zipline, and fishing are just a few favorites. The kids do spend ALOT of time outside(YAY NO Fortnite), which is truly a blessing now a day. So just make sure you pack a new bottle of Off bug spray and sun screen because this place is on the lake, in the woods, and they will NEED it! Surprisingly, my boys even rave about the food and they are fairly picky. The counselors are truly the best. They are genuinely caring, patient, and very attentive. This place will be in our family for many more years.

It was really fun to connect with friends that you don't see often. Being able to communicate with other kids that understand your problems. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The activities were engaging and built key skills that will help with our daily lives. The cabins were really nice too. So thank you for the experience.

I wrote a review back in June when mu son had a horrible experience, BUT that has since changed. I spoke with the camp about everything, and they offered another opportunity to make everything right, and they have. This week my son is having the time of his life. He will definitely be back next year.

I have conducted three weekend youth retreats at Camp Widji and had amazing experiences. The staff is great through the planning process and onsite during events! I ve worked with Molly to plan, Marc and Tyler as the MOD during events and all of them go above and beyond to offer an excellent experience for all parties involved. The food in the dining lodge is good, the cabins are very nice, the meeting facilities are state of the art, and the outdoor adventure activities are very nice! We use the Team Quest activity which is staff led and it always exceeds expectations. Overall I highly recommend using this facility and team for all your event needs!!

The details on the camp's website really draw you in, painting a picture of adventure and good wholesome fun. Not having attended Widjiwagan in the past, we looked forward to sending our child for a fun-filled pirate week. Unfortunately, the experience had wasn't like the one described on the website: Camp counselors are all smiling/waving to you at drop off and pick ups. However, my son and his friend described a different experience. They complained that counselors yelled at the children a lot. Many of the kids were rather mean spirited and that can be expected anytime you have a bunch of kids. However, this camp might do well to break down into smaller groups to provide a more personable, enjoyable experience to the campers. I didn t like that the children ate their lunch on the ground. Overall, I expect more value when paying $350 for one week of camp. It felt like I was leaving him at a daycare. Of the camps my son attended this summer, Camp Widjiwagan was his least favorite-he couldn't wait for the week to be over. We chalk it up as a learning experience and at least we know where not to go next summer!

I am floored by the number of activities at this day camp. My 4 year old loves it. There is a new theme each week. The kids and counselors dress up and play fun games. Everything from outdoor trampolines and elaborate add splash pools to giant swings, boat rides, and a pirate ship with a slide feeding into the lake....300 acres of fun. Plus it is affordable and offers scholarships. Bus transports kids from nearly all YMCA locations.

Lots of great activities and my 9-year-old had fun. However, of the three camps she did this summer, it still ranks at the bottom. She's a tiny girl, almost underweight, and it concerns me when she says she didn't get enough food. The kids don't stop moving all day, so the lunch of a single hotdog and three pieces of orange does not sound adequate to me. She has asked for seconds and been told "there's not enough to go around". On the other hand, I pulled my 4-year-old out after two days. I'm not an overprotective mom--probably too far in the other direction!--but I was concerned she wasn't getting enough oversight. She is our third child, naturally outgoing, and not scared of anything. But on the second day she wouldn't stop crying after pickup. She said some other kids were mean to her and no adults were around to help. Beyond that, her shorts were on backwards and she'd lost her bathing suit. Now, I understand that a 4-year-old might lose stuff at camp. On day one, I wasn't concerned that she came home missing her extra t-shirt, bug spray, and sunscreen. But I would think that the staff would at least assist a 4-year-old with changing to swim. How did she lose a bathing suit? How did no one notice that her shorts were on backwards for the whole afternoon? And the straw that broke the camel's back is that after two full days, she still couldn't describe or tell me the name of a single one of her counselors. A young child needs the security of knowing there's a safe adult nearby, especially in a new environment.
One last thing. I dropped my 9-year-old late one day because she had a dentist appointment in the morning. I went to the main office to sign in and the place was full with all kinds of staff and what appeared to be directors, several just lounging around. The receptionist just pointed to the sign in sheet but said nothing. I signed in. But what's next? I stood in front of her for at least 5 minutes and, I kid you not, not a single person acknowledged my presence. Even when the counselor showed up to retrieve my daughter she just stared at me, took my daughter, and left. It was bizarre.
Not recommended. There are lots of other great camp options. Our favorites are Deer Run and Hopetown.

This facility had it all. There was a top notch dining hall, exceptional cabins, and safe but exciting facilities for groups to have a great time. We took advantage of the fields, courts, ropes challenge course, and climbing area. I would highly recommend it for any group.
