The Gallo Center is the Jewel of downtown Modesto. Beautiful theater and a great helping friendly staff. But I was disappointed in the sound mix at the recent Forever Motown show. The sound engineer couldn't find a proper mix between the vocals and the live band. One lead singer went through an entire song with a bad mic. Very unfortunate.

I have to say after lots of hard work and lots of money spent on dance recital tickets to have Gallo tell you that you can't take pictures of your own kids is a bunch of BS. I can honestly say I won't ever go back to Gallo center.

It has a good atmosphere. I went to see Apocalyptica Plays Metallica with Four Cellos. It is a magnificent and beautiful theater. The courtyard is elegant and the statesman are hospitable. I enjoyed my visit as it was my first.

Kristen Chenoweth was a wonderful singer and she could have been a very funny comedian, but she choose to make fun of atheists. I would have had no problem with her spouting her Christianity, but it was in very poor taste to make fun of atheists in a concert with thousands that had paid a very high price to hear her sing.

I went to see Manzi. Between the price of the ticket and the price the ticket vendor charges, I paid $20. This is a glorified high school/grammar school play that somehow insinuated itself into the schedule of Gallo Center for the Arts. With a decidedly clique audience (think: parents of the children acting, and those "politically" supporting the more than socially-charged yet elusively biased "cause"), I was glad it was going to be short in duration. Sadly, after the play I was subjected to more barrage of indoctrination. I had the feeling I was in someone's "private club" - none of what they were talking about, none of the people to which they were referring had any familiarity or interest to me. Honestly, it's been a while since I couldn't wait to get out of the theater - I will remember this performance, if for nothing else, but that reason. What a slipshod amateur debacle - the only thing good was "when I could see" it would be ending - and they dragged that on agonizingly. From the audience reactions, somehow the best humorous moments occurred in Spanish - gee, it's too bad I don't speak Spanish. Keep these plays at the high schools or grammar schools where they belong. It's sad I can't get a refund.

Beautiful building close to the rest of downtown. Walking distance of several good restaurants and parking structures. Kids have thoroughly enjoyed the classes they are taking and look forward to attending an event here in the near future.

The Gallo Center is a really nice place to go to enjoy a show. The theaters are well kept, the bathrooms are very clean, and smell nice. My only gripe is that the snack bar doesn't really offer anything. They are hugely limited in their offerings. Other than that, I recommend you visit at least once.

I am constantly leaving feeling happy from the show I have just seen and by the experience. 1. The staff. I have no words to explain how incredible the staff is. 2. The seating. In the Foster Family Theater, the seats can get a little crowded. But it's understandable because it is the smaller theater. 3. The heating. the theater is always the perfect temp.

Luxurious venue with a great sound system & acoustics will not disappoint! And the optimum seating arrangement ensures an unblocked view for all. Be sure to purchase your Tix directly from the box office to avoid scalper fees.

Our first visit! We saw Postmodern Jukebox and we had a great time. After intermission, drunk, annoying women a couple rows away were swiftly dealt with, once with a warning, and secondly with removal. Good job on ushers part.

They have great shows at all times of the year. Seats are very comfortable, and the entire facility is kept immaculately clean and tidy. Truly one of my favorite things Modesto has to offer.

Friends and family saw Pirates of the Caribbean with a live orchestra. The orchestra was great the screen was a joke. Very small screen behind the orchestra and the movie was in a wide screen version in which even made it more smaller than ever. Shame on you Gallo. Got greedy on this. Movie screen ridicuosly. SMALL.. It was difficult for the audience to see the screen if there was any distance from it . Quality of the movie was poor. washed out, and also light from stage interference with screen.I can give huge congrats to the orchestra for their performance, but the performance of the movie was beyond unacceptable. I spent a lot of money for good seats and struggled to even see the movie. BAD! BAD! BAD! GALLO spend some money on a appropriate screen for these movie orchestral concerts.
