Excellent service! Excellent plant life. I had a hard time leaving. We did not leave empty handed. And excited to add more life to the yard. The pick seems to be the fruit of the loom.

When business is TOO good just stop answering the phone and let the messages get full. heading to Chapman's I guess. If I'm going to drive somewhere to check on an item might as well make it a pretty drive.

Context: This is the 4th time this season I've gotten NOWHERE by calling repeatedly.

Side Note: Time to open up a nursery and give these folks some help! Obviously plenty of business to go around.

Wow, imagine going to a "yard and garden" place and asking a question about a plant or a seed they carry only to be told by them they knew nothing about it and suggesting I Google it to answer my question. WTH. Shortys is the go to place I guess

Convenient and good choice of landscape rock and bark sizes. Delivery was reasonably prompt and set on tarps with accuracy. Keeps getting more and more expensive to replenish these items in my yard. Will have to look elsewhere or buy a trailer and haul it myself.

Very nice and informative people. Today I took a branch from a 'sick' tree. They knew what was wrong and told me how to care for the tree in the future. They also have a nice variety of garden gifts and decorations at reasonable prices.

The best of the best! Everything I have bought here has thrived! Even a clearenced out banana tree that looked pretty bad- when checking out they told me what to do and a week later it was healthy and beautiful. Any questions I have, they gladly answer and are always spot-on. I won't buy my plants, soil, barkdust, or rocks anywhere else!

A lot of great stuff for the yard. If you have someone who enjoys working in the yard this is a must stop, and not just for the nursery portion. Some great gift ideas for anyone who loves yard stuff. Also, I like shopping at places that are locally owned. Nice staff....and my daughter especially likes the cat that roams the place.

Honestly, amazing customer service. As well, I feel proud supporting a local company when you know they have great customer service as well as great products. Will not do any garden shopping anywhere else in Vancouver.

We were the only customers at the checkout area. With no cashier on hand, we 'evidently' placed our plants at the wrong counter. When the cashier came out, we asked her if we were at the right register. She made it quite clear that 'no we were not'. Her curt response: 'Evidently, I'll have to go to that counter'. It was one of those 'did she really say that to us?' moment.

We: Customers making a purchase (for the last time) that gives you a job and pays your wages. By the way, we would not have been inconvenienced at all to move to your preferred register if you had only been kind enough to ask.

Cashier: Being inconvenienced to having to walk 10 feet to another register. It's very sad how quick and disrespectful your response was leading us to believe that this is just your normal nature. Please find a job that you love to do.

Side note: We stopped shopping at YnG years ago due to unfriendly and rude cashiers. Shame on us for thinking things have changed.

I had scheduled a delivery of 10 cubic yards to fill in some pot holes in an access road as well as spreading some gravel around the pavilion.
I had scheduled it for Saturday afternoon but was called by Yard and Garden Land and asked if they could deliver it early and it 2 loads because they did not have a truck big enough for all 10 yards. (I wish they would have told me this prior to taking our order, it might have solved a lot of problems.)
I scrambled making phone calls trying to make sure there would be someone at the field to direct where to dump the gravel. After ensuring that someone would be there I called Yard and Garden Land and was told they would be leaving in 10-15 minutes. At 12:22 I received a phone call from the Facilities manager of the fairgrounds stating that there was a load of gravel at the front gate (I should point out that I gave explicit instructions that the driver notify me by phone when they arrived so I could direct them where to go) the driver failed to do this. After 16 minutes, 12:38 PM, the dump truck still had not arrived so I called the facilities manager back but got no answer. I called again at 12:52 because the dump truck had still not arrived.
At 12:53 pm I called Yard and Garden land to ask if they knew where the load of gravel was. They had no idea.
At 1:11 pm the facilities manager called me wondering why I had called him twice. When I informed him the dump truck still had not arrived he told me he would call one of his workers and call me back.
At 1:19 pm he called me back to tell me the worker told the driver to go to the 2nd ave entrance and took off.
At 1:21 pm the driver of the gravel truck finally called for the first time after going to the wrong entrance a second time. Unfortunately I missed this call. I called him back 4 times starting at 1:26 pm. He never answered any of my calls.
The driver finally showed up at the 2nd ave entrance at approximately 1:30 pm and dumped the gravel onto the access road. He left at approximately 1:40 pm to get the second load. I asked him how long till he returned. He said he had no idea.
At 13:42 I called Yard and Garden land to ask if they would throw in and extra yard or two of rock to compensate me for the hassle and frustration I had endured. He said he would call me back after talking to the boss.
At 1:54 Eric (I think that was his name) at Yard and Garden Land called me and told me that they would not be compensating me in anyway. I explained to him how the driver had explicit instructions to call me when he arrived at the fairgrounds and failed to do so. I explained to him how the driver was had vanished for approximately an hour and nobody could tell me what had happened to him or the load of gravel. I told him How unhappy I was with both the delivery service and the customer service I had received and I would like to talk to the boss (Mark). I was told the boss was operating the loader and could not talk. I told him I would be coming to the store later that afternoon to talk to Mark.
At 2:47 I again had to call Yard and Garden Land because the second load of gravel had still not arrived. I was told the were loading up now and would be leaving in 10 15 minutes.
At approximately 3:00 pm the load of gravel arrived and was dumped. I find it hard to believe that it takes 1 hour and 15 minutes to travel to Yard and Garden Land from the Fairgrounds, get a load of rock and travel back to the Fairgrounds.
I went in at approximately 3:15 to talk to the owner Mark. When I tried to explain how unhappy I was with the service I received, he tried to tell me that his driver had called me but I never answered, when I tried to explain that it was only the second time that I missed the call he basically called me a liar, said that he had call logs then told me we're done and turned and walked away.
I have never be called a liar by the owner of a company that I had done business with in the past.
I encourage everyone on to not to business with this company. There are other companies that will treat you better.

This is my absolute favorite place for plants. Everyone there is friendly, and helpful. Sandy is my favorite, I tend to search for her. But everyone will help. I always say hi to the chickens, and the cats too. They deliver too, which is great for big items or redoing a yard. I absolutely love Yard N Garden!

Amazing selection, but most of all great costumer service. Was very impressed today they even had pull up my car and helped me load it. I only purchased some plants and a couple large pots. Everyone was very friendly and very knowledgeable. I will be back

The employees are so helpful. The walk around with you and help you pick plants and trees that would thrive in your yard. They deliver to your house for $30. They also have a fantastic return policy if the plant dies within 30-90 days.

Voted the largest and most complete nursery and garden store in all of Clark County. Labeling of plant areas isn t as clear as at Shortys, but plants and their types are still easy to find. This a great place for finding the perfect tree. They have a great selection of bulk sands, gravels, and bark.

I've been coming here since I was a little kid and now will be getting all my garden stuff here as an adult. They have an excellent selection of both indoor plants and garden plants. There's a reason they have been in business for so long!

Wonderful place with lots of varieties of plants and beautiful baskets. Helpful staff as well. Only gave it 4 stars because their prices can be a little on the outrageous side esp. for their prearranged flower baskets.

I needed a nursery that could provide us with all the things needed for success in our home, yard and garden: seeds, plants, fertilizer, pest control options, tools and odds and ends, and advice.
Ta Da! Yard and Garden Land! And they threw in affordable, too!
As if that wasn't enough, there was a soft, friendly cat who adored being petted, laying in a box on the counter by the cash register.
Win-win-win!
My new favorite place to go for our plant related needs!
You'll love it here!

I get my bark dust from Yard and Garden and buy plants and yard decor from them. It's always a great experience with friendly staff. Today I got an order for bark dust and thought I had it measured out correctly, but was short a couple yards. When I called to explain my situation , they happily ran another couple yards out to me within the same day. Always go above and beyond! Thanks to all of you that make it a pleasant experience every time.

Nice staff but not very accessible and they seemed too busy with other duties than to help you but the amount of plants was great and a bonus was seeing all the hummingbirds buzzing around

Poor customer service... I showed up to get a load of rock over 45 minutes before they closed and they told me no.. that they closed the other side a half an hour early. the guy that loads was sitting there with a smug smile on his face doing nothing.

I have shopped here 3 years. I have tried several other nurseries in OR and Wa. I love that they are so well stocked on seasonal plants and always have decorator pieces. I saw fairy mini gardens on pintrest and found lots of options to start my own here. An avid backyard gardener raised in a family owned farm environment I can safely say these folks are educated and they stay on top of trends for landscaping and gardening. Very nice selection. I will not buy my annual veggie plants anywhere but here. I love getting to choose between heritage plants or hybrids. If you are stuck for planting ideas, just swing by and check it out. The outside does not reveal whats going on inside! I have purchased yard decorations, pots, furniture accessories, etc. here also.

I was looking for an evergreen tree the was under 2ft. Dave helped me find the right size and even went the extra mile and placed it in a smaller pot so it would fit in the back seat of my car. Thank you Dave and team for your time and kindness today.

Can't beat the price for buying soil mix. Paid $10 for.25 cubic yard of soil for raised beds.

Same amount would have cost me $40 at Costco.

The guy who drives the tractor to put the soil in the bed of your truck was very friendly.

I am a local landscaper and we use Yard and Garden for many of our jobs. Very nice people who can help find some of the hard to find plants for some designs. Also, their plant quality is extremely high for a moderate price. Overall a great value with highly knowledgeable staff. Tim, Charlie and Debbie are all great tow work with. Thanks! My wife and I are first time visiters. Nice place, easy to walk around. Good prices! Walked out with some veggies and some herbs. Parking next to nursery is kind of tight but manageable. Will return though!

I love the selection and they have pretty decent prices. Their ladybugs are more expensive than Fred Meyer, BUT they were much healthier. However, their return/exchange policy needs improvement. We've had to return a couple things in the last few months (a brand new flower pot we just didn't use and a watering can that broke the first time we used it) and no one seems to know what to do regarding a return or how to process one.
