Like any shelter, there are flaws. However, this student run shelter has been growing and getting better over the few years they have been around. Everyone has a fair and equal chance of getting a long term or emergency bed, through lottery systems. They have regular weekly meeting where youth can have a voice about possible policy changes. Overall, it's a great place for young adults experiencing homelessness.

Founded by 2 recent Harvard graduates, Y2Y is an innovative student-led shelter for young folks between the ages of 18 and 24 who are experiencing homelessness. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities for individuals and companies. They accept food and clothing donations in addition to financial contributions. Youth homelessness affects 1 in 10 young adults and comes with trauma that can negatively impact youth for the rest of their lives. We must do better.
