XTC Fitness and Sports Review

If you're thinking about making the purchase in online store I would strongly advise you to think again.

If you can physically get to the shop and purchase your equipment that might work quite alright.

However, even though it said the item will ship within 1-2 days, it took 1.5 WEEKS (!) from the day the order was paid in full to arrange shipping. EVERY day the stuff was saying over the phone that the order will ship "first thing tomorrow". If they would apologize and say that it will ship in a week, I would understand. Just don't perpetually lie to your clients.

In addition to that, delivery company agreed to deliver to the apartment first but dropped the package in the lobby without warning, saying that it doesn't fit in the elevator. Needless to say it did fit in the elevator just fine. Yet again, the job was easy but the lies and broken promises left very bad impression.

So if you are ready to wait for your purchase, and ready to assemble a team of friends to help you with the delivery - go right ahead. Just keep in mind that "customer service and customer satisfaction" are far from being satisfactory.

I loved this gym - the equipment, classes, and physical gym itself are fantastic. A few months ago the gym had huge turnover and the staff became very unfriendly. They're coming out of their funk, but I think there's some new management and it's starting to feel a little more generic and corporate-run instead of the hometown personal experience I felt when I joined. Additionally, prices have dropped a significant amount and discounts are offered, which makes me uncomfortable knowing I may pay a completely different price than another member.
Still love XTC, and would still go if I were in town. There are a couple cool new things they've done, and hopefully it has a more solid foundation in the near future.

Love this place, the staff, equipment, classes and the prices.

Wish they had a pool / jacuzzi and a wet sauna, but for a town like Tyler it's ok.

Been going 6 days a week for 10 months. I love it! The staff is great, and I appreciate the classes. Kickboxing is my favorite, but it is one heck of a workout. It cost more than the other gym's, but you get a lot more for your money.

Really good gym locally owned and staffed. Great child care. Wet and dry sauna that will beat you down after a hard work out. Kettle bells, ropes, machine circuits, indoor trac, "dumbbell row", stadium stairs, heavy bags, and even a separate cross fit center of your into it. A damn good gym.

Just moved to Tyler and am glad I found XTC! I signed up at planet thinking it was a good deal for $20 a month and then I started using their equipment and laughed when the leg press maxed out at 220 lbs. Walked into XTC and spoke with Jacob and he got me a great deal and wad more concerned with me finding a gym I like than taking my money! 5+ stars
