First Inquiry: 29th Jul 2020, 16:36
Shop4za.com (one of the companies they pose as) Response:
"I assure you that your order has been dispatched on 30th July and we estimate delivery to take 6-12 working days so it should be with you by now"
Second Inquiry: 14th Aug 2020, 11:45
Shop4za.com (one of the companies they pose as) Response:
"Your order was dispatched on 30/06 and we estimate delivery to take 20-30 working days.
However, Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic post can take up to 90 days to arrive.
Please note a parcel cannot be declared a lost in transit until the 90 days from dispatch has passed.
We are really sorry that this hasn t arrived yet, but we kindly ask if you could please wait until the estimated delivery times have passed."
This has become laughable at this stage, but I'm disabled and medically retired, so I have time to kill while I slowly die so I wanna see this play out... see how bad this joke of a company really is.
Third Inquiry: 30th Sep 2020, 09:15
I have now given them their 90 days, so I obviously request my refund, which they were seemingly incapable of doing for a QUARTER OF A YEAR for some reason and STILL haven't.
Shop4za.com (one of the companies they pose as) Response:
"Firstly, I do want to apologise about that, however we have now been informed that we can no longer issue a refund until the 90 working days have passed,
This is due to the huge delay in parcels being delivered, and your order not actually being lost.
'Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic post can take up to 90 days to arrive.
Please note a parcel cannot be declared a lost in transit until the 90 days from dispatch has passed'
If you still haven't received your order by 13/10, please get in touch and I'll be more than happy to complete a lost in post claim and process a refund."
So... after waiting a QUARTER OF A YEAR, they want me to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks? Would also like to point out that this is all in gross violation of the UK Consumer Rights Act of 2015, so they are literally breaking the law in the country they report to be operating in at this stage.
They have several of these rebranded sites to deceive customers into believing they are in fact operating locally out of said country, when they are in fact a shady UK based company. There are reports here and there of clients receiving their goods (sometimes in a used fashion even) but they are few and far between.
Bottom line? Just save yourself the hassle and stay FAR away from shady place.
