I sent my son here and he went onto the best colleges (undergrad and grad) in the country. Kevin McCormack is such a fantastic leader of the school. Intelligent and caring, he guided my son throughout his growth at the school -- thank you for all you do.

I don't generally have an opinion on Catholic schools but Xaverian HS is an exception. The son of close friend is a recent graduate and I watched him develop from a typical teenage boy into an outstanding young man. In addition to a fine family, I would attribute much of the development, especially with respect to ethical values and sense of community, to his education at Xaverian High School. During conversations with him and his parents, the influence Xaverian had on forming this future leader is quite apparent.

School was excellent, it was tough in the beginning, but in the end, it turned out to be okay. 4 years went by quick. Graduated (at age 18) about 2 years ago, I was one of the last kids to graduate before the place became co-ed. It was a catholic school, teachers were good. Kids were alright. I learned a lot from this school.

I had a mixed experience attending this school a few years ago.

Let me start off by saying if you play your cards right, the family atmosphere here is like no other. Extracurriculars really saved me.

However, there is a clear if you don t fit our image we won t work with you type vibe in the school.

I am an African American student and I didn t realize how many race jokes and overall offensive things happened to me in this school, but I was gaslit into thinking it was normal. A student called me the n word in front of my entire calculus, I reported it to the vice principal Mr. Sharib and there was NO action done and I was called a snitch for genuinely feeling uncomfortable being in the school. I don t think this vibe will ever be fixed, the school constantly ignores this and some teachers actively embrace it.

This does not however discount some of the truly great teachers in this school, Mr. Frodella, Mr. Lindstrom and Mr. Loposky are a few that come to mind that are genuinely educators I will never forget.

I overall wouldn t have picked another school and I genuinely enjoyed my time, the opportunities are endless, the food is great, the education is solid (if you are in honors, if you are in academy the teachers very obviously do not care as much for your class,) the extracurriculars are the best part of the school.

However, bullying is frequent especially if you are a minority. The teachers and students will say it s light jabs but they really aren t. Find the right group of friends and teachers u trust and you will have a great time. The school is like no other, for better or for worse.

Great family always there to help you! All of the teachers care for you and treat you like their own kid, they do yell at you but for the better. Also some teachers are really nice and don't yell, I like those the best.
