Had excellent afternoon tea... 3 afternoon teas and 3 gentleman's afternoon teas. Beautifully presented and delicious. Gorgeous surroundings and discrete but attentive staff.
We'll organised covid measures which don't detract from the experience.
Beautiful, peaceful grounds, so worth a sit out on the terrace if the weather's good.
We'll worth the money, can highly recommend.

Christmas market that we go to ever year was poor this year. A lot less stalls than Last year. Teepee was full of smoke and I couldn't stay and get anything to eat as it was setting my Asthma off. Wont be going next year

I went for the afternoon tea. When eating I found a long piece of plastic in my food. No staff around so had to go to kitchens my self where a waitress messing on her phone came and took it and walked away took about 5 minutes for someone to come to the table. They would not give me a refund with money only a voucher which I did not want as I cannot eat in a place with contaminated food and where staff are not very helpful.

We stayed in the Head Gardeners Cottage, the backdoor opens into the walled garden, and the cottage itself is great. The staff all seem to be locals and have a passion for the place and their jobs. Highly recommended.

Winter Chirstmas Party 9.12.17. What a shambles. Paid for a drinks package and only half came to the table. Had to ask at least 3 people for the rest of it. Seated at 8 for food didn't get main course till 10.30 ish and desert at 11.30. This was mingled with numerous fights. Party finished at 12.00 and not 1.00 am as publicised. Band only on for a short period. Absolutely shocking. Really disappointed. My only Christmas night out due to finances and it was totally spoilt. Not what I was expecting.

Really lovely afternoon tea. The food was tasty and plentiful, with never ending tea and a lovely glass of fizz. The staff are friendly and attentive. This was a birthday treat for a friend on an Itison voucher and it represented very good value.

Wynyard Hall has all the trappings of a stately home yet is relaxed and comfortable. We were looking for somewhere special for a celebration and Wynyard ticked all the boxes. We had a magnificent massive bedroom overlooking the lake. When we arrived there was a bottle of Prosecco on ice in the room together with chocolate covered strawberries. The staff were warm and welcoming. There is a wonderful terrace and various lounges.

We had complimentary tickets to The Gardens which were breathtaking. These are a must to anyone visiting the area.

Everything about Wynyard Hall is top drawer and it is apparent that a great deal of hard work goes into the running of the Estate. The entrance off the main road through Millionaire's Row was a good taste of what was to come.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful hotel. I been many times for various events but this was the 1st time we stayed overnight. The rooms are lovely. Nice toiletries in bathroom and robes and slippers.
The hotel is very grand with beautiful grounds. There is a Do a spa on site, but you have to pay extra for access and book ahead.
There is a lovely cafe and gardens with a gift shop too.
We attended a ball in the Grand Markee. There was over 400 guests and the service was excellent. The waiters are clearly very well trained. They all worked very hard and efficiently.
Drinks are quite expensive, but they usually are at hotels anyway.
The only downside was breakfast. When we arrived we were seated and the waiter in charge practically threw the menu at us as he rushed by. I asked for eggs royal which was not on the menu. They did however have eggs Benedict and smoked salmon with scrambled egg. They waiter told me they could not do an eggs royal. I pointed out that they offered similar dishes and it would be quite simple replace the ham with some salmon. He was very huffy and appeared very put out at my request.
I got my eggs Royal and it was very nice. My husband chose an English breakfast and thus was very poor. The bacon was pale and greasy. The friend eggs had clearly been sat on a hot-plate and were rubbery and greasy.
Not what I would expect from a 4* hotel. Premier inn' s do a better breakfast.
Over all we had a nice stay.

The fireworks were very good. The car parking preparations were inadequate in light of the poor weather and heavy rain preceding the event. A number of cars got stuck going in and leaving, which made for slow progress. In all it was worth attending for the fireworks, so long as you're happy to spend 45 minutes getting in and getting out.

Really nice setting however food was very poor especially considering the price. Sub standard ingredients with very little taste. Staff did not ask once if everything was ok. Very sorry to say the bread was the best part.
