A bit of a divey bar, with nothing really, but cheap-ish beer and jukebox. Some nights, maybe that's all you really want.

Bartender John called me a dick for being in the bar while I waited for a friend. Also, he can t pour a pint well; let alone make an actual drink.

Old school, no nonsense, cash only bar in the west village. Imagine it might be getting pretty rocous at night, but for it's prefect for a quiet glass of beer on a hot summer day.

Watched the grumpy bartender, who others have referenced in previous reviews, scream at a group of 4 women who were seated at a table to "KEEP YOUR VOICES DOWN!" The bar came to an awkward stand-still after this aggressive outburst, as the group of women were only partaking in normal conversation.

Horrified, my party of five decided to walk out.

It was embarrassing for a grown man to publicly scold these women like mere school children for doing nothing more than talking amongst themselves.

Our founding fathers created this great country on 4 simple tenets: life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, and the right to talk like you aren't in a library when out at a bar on Saturday at 11pm.

Clearly the bartender is a communist. USA! USA!

Cash only. It's a great, reliable spot amidst the many overpriced and bougie cocktail bars in the Village. Staff is always really friendly, even though it can get pretty rowdy with the clientele who are escaping said cocktail bars. I think it has a jukebox too but I am rarely sober enough to notice by the time I get there.

Keeping it simple. Great atmosphere, prices, staff.

although this bar has been a favorite of mine over the years and Barry has been there, something has changed. Barry has become extremely rude and unbelievably ridiculous. I would NOT recommend this bar unless you re into terrible customer service and mediocre drinks.

Casual watering hole with reasonable prices. Great background music and friendly bartenders. Bar seating plus a few booths to go around.

Cash only, No red bull. That's the sign behind the bar and you don't need to know much more than that. Fun & cool place to get a drink, but leave your pretentious friend home.

One of the best, smaller bars on the west side with an excellent selection of music always abuzz in the background. The cash only bar keeps out those with a lesser commitment to great tunes and good times with friends.

My favorite bar in Manhattan. "Cash Only No Red Bull" sign, great jukebox, friendly bartenders. Happy hour beers for $4.

Cash only. Bartender treated the usuals better then new commers. Expect slow service unless you live in the neighborhood.

Love this cozy West Village hole in the wall. It s cash only, so bring your money and your musical selections for the old-style jukebox. The bartenders are extremely kind and personable and will remember your name and drink order, adding to the charm.

It's nice to find an old school bar in the West village! It's been here since the mid nineties. Good drinks.The staff and owner were very hospitable. It feels a bit like Cheers. I'd imagine it would be very familial if it were your local bar. These sorts of places are disappearing in the city. Support local businesses so they survive!

Cool small dive bar in the West Village or west side. . NO REDBULL no ENERGY DRINKS. . they make a point of that. Cash only! But there is an ATM inside. Jukebox has a great selection of music.

Great experience. A welcome dive bar in the neighborhood where things are overpriced. Bartender was welcoming, and super helpful for out of town visitors. Will be back.

Best bar when you just want to drink inexpensively, listen to great jukebox music and talk with regulars-- like me--about anything. Friendly staff. Bring own food if you wish.

Super fun bar. The drinks are reasonably priced given the area, so make sure to tip your bartenders!

Such a good bar. It's cash only, but they have an ATM. A good beer selection, attentive bartenders and two tidy bathrooms make for a good place to grab a quick drink in the village. It's unassuming from the outside, but let that trick everyone else, not you.

There is no other. My favorite place on the planet.
