I purchased a set of Eagle Claw Stainless Steel Chain Ice Cleats during the late ice season. Within a few hours of wearing them while ice fishing they broke in three places. The quality of rubber is very poor. I tried to contact Eagle Claw, but they won't return my email. Poor customer service and a horrible product

Been using eagle claw snelled hooks for years fishing for catfish in several rivers. I've been mostly using 231X-2 double snelled hooks. Never had any issues with the hooks or snelled leaders. Now, all of a sudden, I've had problems with leaders breaking and the loops coming untied. Coming untied is the worst issue, sometimes the knots are so loose you can easily pull the knot out. I've lost several good fish because of this problem. The hooks in question are made in Mexico and most have been purchased at Walmart. I have several friends and brother-in-laws that have had the same problem.

Have 2 trialmaster combo, the 1st one I had for 10 yrs. When the tip came off, took it back asked if they can fix it, they gave me a new pole, I just wanted a tip. 45yrs I have had my rods would not change them for anything. it's funny, all these people that spend $300.00 for a fly rod, I spent $39.00, they tell me I need to up grade, so I did, I got a 9ft eagle claw fly rod, still catch more fish, I think there better then most rods that's just me. You dont need to spend thousands just to fish, its love of fishing, not what you fish with..
