I took the day tour to Eqi Glacier. We met at the headquarters in town. Do to a mix up of your start times we spent far too long waiting. Once on the ship the I formation was informative a and the scenery was stunning. We had unlimited tea and coffee, a rest room, access on the vessel outdoors and blankets. Another perk was that the steering house was not off limits. The lunch was superb and the 2 hours afforded at the base of the glacier gave us plenty of time to snap photos and witness some calving. The only negative experience was crew members throwing cigarettes from the bridge to the ice sheets in the glacier bay. This is totally unacceptable. Otherwise I feel the outing was a worthwhile tour.

We participated in 4 activities during the winter. Overall the organization is very good, rigorous in terms of schedules.
We had organized the trip by ourselves from France and there is a lack of information upstream of the activities. The staff could be a little more friendly and warn by phone so worry (you will have information once there) But overall satisfied.

Good organisation, great service from the boat driver .... we saw some whales on the Way and can take some nice pics thanks to him

Nice iceberg tour.. they take their time.. not cheap but worth it.

I want to punctuate this opinion since we did 3 activities with them.
The boat trip around the icebergs is something unique, wonderful, the peace that the place gives off is amazing. The guide was very nice and all great.
We went to the Equi glacier and slept in the camp. The place is amazing and despite the intense cold at night inside the cabin (which can be fixed by putting a gas stove) it is worth it. I think it's something to do if you go to Illulisat. Just going to see the glacier in one day is quite tedious since it is more than 3 hours to arrive, 3 return and about 2 unemployed watching as pieces of glacier fall. If you sleep there everything is worth it.
The problem came with the whale safari since the whales are seen from anywhere in Illulisat, walking and in a thousand ways and if the boat does not approach them then you win nothing. You lose a very important amount of money having seen whales yes, but ... from afar. They say that it is dangerous because of the type of boat we carry, but I say that they can switch to a ship that can get closer, as it happened to us on the excursion to see icebergs that could get closer to a couple of them. All the ships that were around were much closer.

We recently had 4 nights in Ilulisaat and used World of Greenland to arrange a few trips round the area. The trip on a boat out into Disko Bay to see the icebergs was superb, excellent photography and really up close to the ice. We went on one of their snowshoe walking tours for a couple of hours one morning. They help you with the shoes, take you to places it would be difficult to go on foot, and find you some amazing views of the ice. The Greenlandic Legends evening was less good. It did involve snowshoeing in the dark to a remote hut with a great view of the Northern Lights but there were few stories and the promised Greenlandic Coffee and food were a dissapointment

Went on a one day tour to eqi glacier.
The glacier calving is breathtaking and the whole area is surreal.
the trip can take a while tho, and there is not much to do or see on the way (other than icebergs of course).
Food is served on board, but is not that great.

Sat on a boat for an hour waiting for a crew member. Got completely ill since we weren t moving and there were tons of fumes. Got off and asked for my money back. Even though it was 100% within their control and their fault that the crew was late, they said they wouldn t refund the money. They offered me the same tour the following day but we were leaving town and I told them I couldn t make it happen.

Insane. It s not like it was weather or mechanical. They just couldn t get their crew their on time. Horrible customer service.

Beautiful, Amazing and awesome landscapes in Greenland. Awesome place to visit, best trips in town. Good experience meeting all the people from World of Greenland.

We have booked package with various excursions. Everything was perfect and super organized. Wonderful and sympathetic tour guides. It was a great time with great experiences. We will be back definitely!

Beautiful, peaceful and awesome landscapes in Greenland. Amazing place to visit.

The place is run by inexperienced danish people who are trying to get some work experience before going back to Denmark.

The tours are overpriced, and the employees are underpaid (That s why most of their employees are not Greenlanders or experienced).

You will have fun because Ilulissat is unique, but the cost is too high even for Greenland. They are using tourists to get more money.

Also, keep in mind you Cannot cancel your tour after booking, which shows how unprofessional they are.

Edit:

Yes you have Greenland workers in like 1 to 10 ratio, because they can earn much more in other jobs than your employees.

And yes, I can do many activities in Greenland like hiking without needing to pay few hundreds more to you or the other tour companies.

And just because you stated a rule no cancelation refund doesn t mean I can t warn people in reviews before booking with you.

World of Greenland is incomparable to World of Iceland. I though they would be at the same level but I was wrong.

Everything is good except one of the front desk young staff is not so friendly.

The environment can be cleaned up a bit, and there is too much dust in summer!

I participated iceberg sightseeing tour in July 2018. One of the best experience in my life. You can see huge and massive icebergs in the midnight sun. Even if you're lucky you can see humpback whales. Tour guide was friendly and chatty. He explained all my questions and talked about the Ilulissat Icefjord, icebergs, glaciers and so on. I'd participate again if I had a chance

Tours are well organised and punctual, pre-booking experience online was also smooth and user-friendly.

Lights and shadows. We chose World of Greenland for all the excursions as Ilulissat's biggest tour operator, almost monopolist.

Excursion n.1: Whale Safari. They told us that it had been canceled 12 hours before the start without giving clear reasons. Fortunately we managed to organize the "safari" with the Water Taxi tour operator, with whom we found ourselves very well.

Excursion 2: Boat to Ilimanaq with dinner in Restaurant Egede. The restaurant in which you have dinner is very nice. It is not a real excursion but simply a transfer to the restaurant. There are no guides on the boat and no one speaks English. Once in the "village" you go directly to the restaurant. After dinner, we go back.
Unfortunately, arrived in the port of Ilulissat there was no one waiting for us to take us to the village (even if transfer was planned), then after half an hour of waiting we came back on foot.

Excursion n.3: Iceberg Sightseeing. 2-and-a-half night tour through the icebergs. Very suggestive. In the tour we also sighted some whales. Tour that I would recommend.

Excursion n.4: Daytour to Eqi glacier.
It is the most expensive visit (315 euros per person ..) and the one on which we had the highest expectations. The visit was definitely below expectations, the glacier is not impactful and the food on board is not commentable. Positive note: the crew was very helpful and we even did a couple of mini whale chases.

After having issues at our hotel we found this restaurant using Yell.com so we had no idea what to expect, it was absolutely lovely.

Be on a boat trip, a really beautiful trip, can be highly recommended

Ilulissat is definitely worth a visit if you are into "rough" nature with lots of ice cream

We took a midnight boat trip to the icebergs. It was fantastically beautiful when the water, the icebergs and the sky turned into different colors around 12 at night. Will stay in my memory forever. We recommend

Too much touristic. They basically have the monopoly ...the quality of people working is not exceptional. Kindness is often forgotten. You have to do things with them...and they know.

It has been an absolute pleasure visiting Greenland and meeting all the people from World of Greenland.
They were always professional, on time and clear with all instructions of what we will be doing.
We did 3 tours with them (all of which we can highly recommend), and each time their equipment was clean and in a great condition.
This is easily the best tour company I have dealt with.

Take their whale watching tour, it was amazing. And you get to cruise the icebergs. We saw 2 Humpback whales really up close. A fantastic day.
