Resident Services is very disrespectful and patronizing to hard-working professionals and business owners who have chosen to live at one of WHA's apartment buildings. The Tenant Association at my building is particularly ineffectual - which consists of three people that argue and fight with one another, snitch on their fellow residents to Security, and simply do not represent their tenant constituencies. Having attempted to seek leadership with my Tenant Association, assuredly I was met with vicious, patronizing, nay-saying Resident Services representatives who simply double-talk - say one thing, and do entirely another thing. We cannot even hope to have even the most basic amenities in our community room - furniture, dinners/breakfasts, Wi-Fi, or a TV. We are punished because there were one or two former tenants that abused said amenities. I was punished today for attempting to make positive change in my building, and secure basic amenities for my fellow tenants that would make our quality of life more enjoyable as tenants. I came afoul of our alleged "Tenant Association President," who clearly could not stand any direct competition or challenge to his self-assumed authority. It is sad, and even disgusting, that no one wants to build community spirit in my building, or even desires to make positive change that would benefit them greatly were it to be enacted. WHA's Resident Services is a pitiful conglomeration of self-serving peons that would sooner disrespect and offend you than actually help you out when you demand the rightful services and amenities that are yours by your right as a rent-paying tenant. I am a professional - a business owner of over 40 years (a church musician by trade), and it simply is not fair or legitimate to be treated as less than a commoner by Resident Services. I am a hard-working, paying tenant of WHA's apartments, and I deserve to be treated better that the way I was treated today during our so-called "Tenant Association Elections."" I cannot fathom why other apartments under WHA"s auspices have all the aforementioned services, as well as others, but we cannot, for some inexplicable reason. We must "have a majority vote," and we must "have the money" to pay for these services, yet we have an annual tenant budget that would pay for these serivces, and with even adequate tenant association leadership, assuredly the majority vote would favor such amenities. As a former member of at least two Board of Directors, a two-time Student Senate Officer of QCC, and a leader of several other organizations, I believe that it is high-time that WHA embrace the modern age, set aside its antiquated vertical-top-down perspective when dealing with its tenants, and actually do something useful, respectful, and beneficial for its tenants. It's bad enough we have to contend with bedbugs, roaches, and alcoholic neighbors. It's high time that we have the quality of service from WHA that we rightly deserve.

Was approved for housing but 3/4 years ago Today. Received a Letter that wanted Updated Information and As soon I As I mail (ASAP after getting it In the Mail) 4 days later on a Friday morning I Get another letter Stating I m Removed off the list because I didn t send them the Updated application In time . I had 7 days from the due date and I Mailed that Letter in an INSTANT just to hear back FOUR days later that I m removed. Haven t heard from Human Resource or anyone Really. Left a few voicemails regarding the Issue and nothing. I really Needed this and The assistance. Now I can t reapply for another YEAR and then if I do Get approved. Do you know how Long I ll be waiting to even Get the Help I need? YEARS.

In some of their departments, the management is horrible that s why many of their clients aren t happy. I see so many bad reviews and I m not surprised. They are all over the place. They really need to train new people very well, rather than have them do things all over. They also need to get ride of workers (managers) who are just horribly bad at management to make the work place flow better. I hear a lot of bad things from this place and I thought if I voice out here at least someone can see it and finally try to make a change.
