I had dinner and drinks at the Woolley Grange as part of a company event with one of our customers. The staff were very attentive and helpful throughout and the quality of the food was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

Lovely break for a few days with our 4 month old. Fantastic grounds to explore, friendly staff and great spa (and pool).

Very accommodating of babies, with separate dining areas, nursery and bottle cleaning service.

Only slight negative is the lack of ramps for pushchairs around the grounds.

I booked a spa day for my mum and me to enjoy as a pre treat for Mother's Day.
I booked via email and the lady I dealt with was very helpful, however upon arrival we were greeted friendily but when we explained what we were here for there seemed to be confusion as to what it was and seemed to be only booked in for a file+paint fingernails which we now couldn't both have as were slightly late (due to traffic) and we sensed slight annoyance from the staff within 5 minutes of arriving.
After this it was decided my mum would have the file and paint and I would have a mini hand massage and a quick file which we were happy with, but the nail polish that was used on my mum seemed to be gloopy and therefore left a lumpy uneven result.
Next, we headed into the spa after a while letting nails dry and we enjoyed the experience very much, we came out to pay and there were no staff to be seen and a sign telling us to use a phone for assistance which was nowhere visible to use, we looked round the corner and a lady was there, she came and took payment after I had to tell her which spa day it was as it obviously hadn't been logged into the computer, so I nearly got charged for something dearer than expected.

I wouldn't rush back here in the future, however am not complaining about the facilities, just the way things were dealt with.

Woolley Grange is a fantastic family friendly hotel. We had a superb time. The room had everything we needed and the baby listening was a great facility. Children's meal times were made so easy and we had a lovely meal each evening after the kids were asleep. The den was great and the kids loved it. The pool was warm, only improvement could be more spa facilities as just a small sauna and no steam room or jacuzzi.

Can't believe that parents leave their babies in their room whilst they go to dinner and evening drinks.. babies and toddlers crying in their rooms alone, crying mummy or daddy often for over an hour. Should be a hotel policy that babies/children are NOT left unattended at all times...

First time here but have been to two of the other hotels in the group which we also loved. Really lovely hotel and nice staff even though they're a bit thin due to Covid/furlough. Their happy to accommodate anything you need. The need to book everything at the outset was a bit of a pain but actually worked out really well as on a couple of occasions we had the pool to our selves which probably never happened pre covid. Special shout out to Gabon in the restaurant lovely guy and amazing helpful. Local town of Bradford Upon Avon is lovely with some really nice pubs on the river.

Wow. What a fabulous stay. Just finished a 4 night break in the 2 bed hayloft suite. We have often gone for self-catering accommodation with the kids to have enough room but this stay was perfect in every way. The kids loved wandering the grounds, seeing the ducks, using the pool, having great food in the restaurants and there were tears when we packed up to go home. We had such a relaxing stay ourselves and managed to sneak in some amazing spa treatments. Thanks to everyone at woolley grange for a great getaway we are sure to be back. Just about the most child friendly hotel we have stayed in.

Beautiful stately home turned family friendly hotel. Friendly, helpful staff and evening dinner better than I've had for a long, long time. The creche was a Godsend. Decor needs a little bit of TLC.

Great facilities for kids, but service let's it down. Waited 40 minutes for kids food to arrive by which time kids were having a fit. 10 minute wait for soya milk in morning. So hard with a kid to wait so long. Best to eat elsewhere with the kids.

Very expensive ... we got a bit of a deal ...as it was last minute....but... that said... The Hay Loft ..the building we stayed in...was BEAUTIFUL .... absolutely beautiful.
My little boys still talk about it now.. and often ask me "Daddy if you could stay here (so and so place) or the Hay Loft.. where would you stay" and we've yet to find somewhere we would choose over the The Hay Loft.
Lovely memories.... thank you

Lovely stay, staff friendly & attentive, although it did take quite a time for drinks & accompaniments to be served. Rooms comfortable & clean, all had character. Great swimming pool & spa
Super place to stay with family before lockdown, first break we've had with our daughters, son-in-laws & grandson. Thank you.

I highly recommend Woolley Grange Hotel for weddings and events. Having provided flowers for many weddings held here, the staff are amazing and willing to go out of their way to help you. The spa is also amazing!

Great venue for a wedding, and very child friendly, although not at all good for buggies/pushchairs. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, a few of which went out of their way to provide everyone of their needs. Thoroughly recommend this as a hotel or venue for anyone in the area, or for people visiting.

Set in stunning surroundings, Woolley Grange is a charming and beautiful hotel, perfectly geared towards families. Shabby chic and proud of it, don't expect all the clinical perfections of a luxury 5 star resort, but the service is incredible and the staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

We went with our 7 month old for our first get away as a new family. They took very good care of her and us and we ll definitely be back as our little one grows up as there are loads of activities for children of all ages. Highlights for us were:

Dining for baby: we re doing full baby-led weening and were somewhat unsure how it would all go down (or not) at mealtimes. We were impressed with the very bespoke approach of WG for all of the various ages and preferences. It was perfect for our little one.

Dining for mum & dad: The listening service was excellent and gave us the piece of mind to enjoy some lovely dinners together.

Walks: both around the property and into Bradford which is very easily accessible from the hotel

Stayed at Woolley Grange for a weekend in mud August, previously we had stayed at a different hotel in the Luxury Family Hotels stable and been very happy, so we thought were would try this one.

The hotel is beautiful, our room was clean and well appointed, and the facilities for families are amazing.

Unfortunately the service was not.

The cream tea that we ordered in the day we arrived took over 25 minutes to be served, coffees frequently took 10 or 15 minutes to be served, on one occasion a coffee order was forgotten completely. A minute steak sandwich took 35 minutes.

On our final evening we sat in the lounge after dinner for 45 minutes and didn't see a single member of staff the entire time, eventually we just went to bed. For a hotel without a bar that relies totally on waiter service, this is unforgivable.

These hotels are for families and people with young children. The unreasonably long wait times meant that meals that should have been relaxing, enjoyable family moments turned into stressful races against time as I gulped down food as quickly as I could before my 2 year old who had been in a high chair for nearly an hour screamed the restaurant down.

Great hotel for families. Really relaxed atmosphere. Different dining options if you want make it family orientated or put the kids to bed & have dinner without them as they offer a listening service. Hotel is old worldly but that adds to More

Unfortunately a.mixed review , the food was fabulous, we opted for breakfast in bed for a small tray charge - but what a lovely treat.
Dinner was delicious - starters - pigeon, scallops - yummy, mains - lamb OMG - my wife had it the first night I had it the 2nd night. Ox cheek, Rib eye steak all cooled to perfection. The only thing that spoilt dinner was 2 young children running and shouting through the dining room, but this is where it all went wrong for us, the reason our children are now adults and this is a very child friendly hotel, to the degree that we actually felt we were the odd ones out, a perfect place for families, not for couples. Also when booking a small double room - it really means small, the radiator needed bleeding but a oil heater was provided and there was a continuous noise of an extractor fan that droned on till late at night and again first thing in the morning.
Still a good base to travel from to do the tourist bits.
But definitely for young children families only.

We visited the spa which was small but nice, although I was disappointed there was no jacuzzi. There was a steam room and sauna and a small but nice swimming pool. We both had a massage too which was wonderful. We then had a cream tea in the hotel which was really nice, big warm scones and plentiful jam and cream, then fell asleep in front of a proper open grate log fire which was also lovely. . We would most definitely go again.

Hmmmm. Reception leaves a great deal to be desired! Strongly objected to being ignored for several minutes. Also puzzled as to why when finally noticed after ages and being asked if we were "alright" that the response "no" seemed to baffle the staff member! That said once we were acknowledged the service and food were Impeccable though to be honest GROSSLY overpriced. While we quite enjoyed the occasion I can't say I'm eager to repeat the experience.

A wonderful, period hotel in pleasant grounds. It is both family and dog friendly. The staff could not be more helpful and the sophisticated food is both delicious and plentiful. And while there, visit Bradford on Avon and Laycock Abbey - not to be missed.

The staff were very kind and helpful, the bedroom I stayed in was very nice but there was no internet connection. Moreover, the food was a bit slow at some times to arrive but all in all very nice place to stay and take a break from work.

Spent the afternoon here as we had an afternoon tea given to us as a gift and have to say it's the most wonderful place. The food was delicious (although we would have preferred some more savoury and less sweet stuff but that's just us!) We then enjoyed a lovely stroll around the grounds with our dog and enjoyed the sunshine. If you have young kids, this hotel is a great place to stay and it's fabulous for adults too!
