Stayed here for a friend's wedding. The hotel is lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast as well!

Lovely views, comfortable beds, decent AC.

Standard room was fine but nothing special, like a slightly outdated Premier Inn.

Felt like it was lacking something for the money.

I have only go here for physiotherapy atm, it is a beautiful hotel and the reception staff seem nice...

Nice place, tucked away in the middle of nowhere which was lovely. Our room had a little balcony overlooking the golf course which was nice and relaxing. Good food, good service and very clean well presented rooms.

We used the spa for the day which was absolutely lovely and a real treat. The girls on the salon where my friend and I had a pedicure each were very attentive, professional and friendly. We however both felt the that spa would benefit for guests to be able to access drinking water more readily. There is a water fountain available however the water was lukewarm and we felt unable to refresh ourselves as much as we needed after exciting the warmth of the sauna and steam room.

Friendly staff, nice pool and gym set up, reasonable monthly cost

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room was modern and clean, comfy bed however, only downside was that the bed was two pushed together.

Stayed here on a deal, so can't comment on price as it was a great deal. Rooms were well presented and clean. We loved the food and they have some great wines. Pool and sauna really nice too. We loved being able to pop up on to Woodbury Common for a walk. A lovely place for a romantic weekend.

Played the golf course, excellent condition and very challenging, staff in the pro shop very friendly

Excellent value with a couple of caveats . Breakfast spoilt by rotten fruit in bowls and iron in room poor quality. Other than that brilliant.

Fabulous food. Great service. Needs to make sure they remain competitive.

Attended a wedding, actually have attended a few over the years.

The food was good and staff nice, decent surroundings but the singer and disco (Crown something) were way below the last few times I was there, my friend who was bride wasn t massively impressed, used to be a Devon Disco DJ, they were rockin, but now it s just a damp squib of a party.

Great facilities friendly staff but the course is tough.

Had a lovely night with the girls. Bed was uncomfortable. But really enjoyed the spa swimming pool and steamroom.

Beautiful location. The areas of the establishment I saw were brilliant and the good was very enjoyable.

High class accommodation, excellent staff, I ate one night with Room service, brilliant presentation. The area of outstanding beauty. Highly recommend it.

Wow...... What a fantastic experience. Absolutely fantastic golf golf course. Staff in hotel and golf clubhouse were so welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend a visit as this was a top visit for our group of 20.

Used gym, upgrade is ok. However the new spa upgrade is fantastic! Best steam room I've used and I've used loads!

Fantastic Championship Golf Course with some very challenging holes. Also a very tuff finishing stretch with a cheeky 18th Par 3 over water

Play Acorns Golf Course in annual match against Seniors team. Always a great experience and enjoyable with a great bunch of people.
Food is excellent and service is great.

Good 18 holes this morning with two friends, followed by a nice cuppa tea.

Cosy place and good to take a special friend or guest.

Waited so long (over 45 minutes and having asked 3 times) for a dessert that we had no option but to leave without it. The main was still good

Paper thin walls in the main block but lodges are great. Good food and close to Exmouth

Very good hotel and golf course. Very odd bar hours as at 21.45 hrs had to leave golfing bar as it was closing and move to hotel where bar had to be opened and could only purchase on room card.

I went on a weight loss retreat. No issues at all with hotel. One of the best I have been to.

Had a good time here enjoying a spa day but it did all feel a bit rushed.
Particularly enjoyed lunch and the pool area.

Hotel is nice but a bit old fashioned for the younger generation. Beds were comfortable but WiFi was very slow and no phone reception throughout the hotel.

Nice enough establishment, just a bit dated. Went for afternoon tea and some of the cakes were stale. Great views though and the golf course looks very well maintained

Not what I was expecting! It is clean and good food. But for goodness sake do not put a coffee for one in a very large tea pot!

Welcoming & motivating class instructors in the leisure centre. Not always so in the gym. Recent refurbishment has greatly improved the environment. Efficient online booking system. Good food & beautiful views from the terrace bar & restaurant.

A wonderful place to stay. The facilities are amazing (especially for golfers). Not everything open due to Covid restrictions. The staff are fantastic, very helpful, and accomodating. Nothing is too much trouble. A brilliant three night stay. Would recommend to anyone.

No restaurant in the hotel, had to use the cafe in the Golf Club

Really nice for golf, an amazing swimming pool and gym and health centre. Truly brilliant place for a day trip or to go to the gym or play golf. Has never been bad quality there

Lovely hotel in beautiful settings 18 hole golf course, driving range, spa, tennis, gym and more. Hogsbrook lakes nearby for course fishing. Woodbury common for lovely walks.

Staying here on business trip as good food and very friendly staff well worth a visit and stay as nice pool and hot tub here as well as golf

Went here for a day long seminar lunch included found the staff very friendly, fresh hot drinks all day buffet style lunch very good ,very fresh,and very tastie.

Bar restaurant area is a space for a quick informak business meeting. Great coffee and friendly, professional staff.

The carpet in the main bar clubhouse is a disgrace and some of the furniture is very poor and in need of replacement/refurbish. This detracts from the generally acceptable experience and friendliness of the staff.Well below 4 star standard .

Friendly staff, good food and drink options at reasonable prices. Plesent atmosphere as it is quite quiet although the decor could use updating/tidying up in some areas

The beds must be the original mattresses from 20 years ago, we could feel every spring. Awful night's sleep. Carpets throughout are worn, torn and stained. The fitness facility was in good shape, and for the most part the staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast was so-so. I would not recommend unless they do some serious upgrading.

Fantastic setting for our office event. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent and well priced and the view over dinner was idyllic. Not only enjoyed the evening but are also planning our next visit. All 18 attendees had different tastes and requirements but all enjoyed it equally. Would recommend!

the grounds are beautiful, and the service was fine, but the food was massively overpriced and sub-par. Steak ordered medium rare was served well done, and a jacket potato was solid and inedible.

Bedroom was comfortable & clean and a nice view of the golf course, evening meal in the Atrium was lovely and great value for money with excellent service. The only downfall was the next morning when we had breakfast, it wasn t a good standard and for a 4* hotel thought it would be better. Hash browns still frozen in the middle, sausages burnt then the replacements weren t cooked properly so I just didn t have any, eggs were really underdone. All in all the breakfast was really disappointing.
Some staff in the morning were also rude and appeared really put out when asked about the food problems that we had.
