VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! These women are there for domestic abuse, and the first time something doesn't go right for them they try to fight with others inside. This went as far as one calling the other outside, unxcepable. The staff did absolutely nothing, which led to this person having to leave for her safety. This place needs more mature people to oversee

These people are very unprofessional. Marci was very rude and refused to help me fill out a petition for a tro. Also there was absolutely no privacy she did not have my appointment in private it was out in the open basement of the courthouse where everyone could hear our conversation. I called her back and left a message letting her know i thought she was wrong and again asking for her assistance. which she then called me back, screamed into the phone when i answered and then hung up. I've tried reaching anyone above her and these people don't return calls. While i am being victimized and reaching out for help, i felt further victimized by this woman Marci.

WHC is an absolute blessing from God. Without Horizons I never would have made it through. Where do I start? The main staff is amazing and is there to talk and help overcome barriers. About Women and Children's Horizons
Welcome to Women and Children's Horizons, a non-profit organization that has been advocating for victims of sexual and domestic violence/abuse since 1976. Our mission is to provide safety, shelter, education, and support to women and children who have experienced abuse.
We understand that domestic violence is a serious issue affecting millions of people worldwide. That's why we are committed to providing comprehensive services that help survivors heal from the trauma they have experienced. Our team of dedicated professionals works tirelessly to ensure that every survivor receives the care they need.
At Women and Children's Horizons, we believe in empowering survivors by providing them with the tools they need to rebuild their lives. We offer a range of services including emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, support groups, and educational programs.
Our emergency shelter provides a safe haven for women and children who are fleeing abusive situations. We offer a secure environment where survivors can begin the healing process without fear of further harm. Our staff is available 24/7 to provide emotional support as well as practical assistance such as food, clothing, transportation or medical care.
In addition to our emergency shelter program we also offer counseling services for both adults and children affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. Our licensed therapists work with clients one-on-one or in group settings depending on their needs.
Legal advocacy is another important service provided by Women and Children's Horizons. We assist clients with obtaining restraining orders against abusers as well as navigating the court system during divorce proceedings or child custody battles.
Support groups are an essential part of our program because they allow survivors to connect with others who have had similar experiences. These groups provide a safe space where participants can share their stories without fear of judgment while receiving emotional support from peers who understand what they're going through.
Education is key when it comes to preventing domestic violence/abuse from happening in the first place which is why we offer educational programs aimed at raising awareness about this issue within our community.We conduct workshops at schools,colleges,businesses,and other organizations on topics such as healthy relationships,bystander intervention,safety planning etc
