It was sooooo much fun. Ive never been anywhere else to skiing, but im already talking about next year
Skied here just before Thanksgiving. Was new to the whole routine but the entire staff was helpful all day long.
Awesome skiing with great variety of runs from extensive selections of green, fun blues with and without bumps and unbelievable black diamonds through the trees.
Typically the snow here is thicker than at any of the either resorts around. Wait time for the lifts tend to be shorter too. Most likely because there is limited lodging nearby.
My Family's favorite ski resort! Been coming here for five years now, and love it! Pagosa Springs is an awesome town and Wolf Creek rocks!
I boarded at Wolf Creek 7 days this year and found fresh powder in abundance every day. No other place like it. Low frills low prices great food! If you like to ski and ride go here. If you want to hang out drink shop and be seen go elsewhere.
Had a blast snowboarding with my family and friends!!!
Beautiful and super reasonably priced for all activities and food.
I have been skiing here for the second time now! It s awesome! Note that it s a ski area, so when there is enough snow on the ground, you can pretty much explore the area if you can handle the slope! But it is 100% natural snow! In most years, that s not at all a problem.
It s also family friendly. At base, you can meet back up with your family or group and enjoy either your own lunch or eat at their restaurant at your convenience. The views from the top of the lift are exceptional.
Some of the best powder days I've ever had in my life here!
Powabunga! Great lift rates and the food was well priced too. We all had a blast, no joke about the deep snow. As a snowboarder watch out for the flats after the waterfall area, it can take a bit of hiking to get back out. Regardless, we were getting face-shots on almost every run in late March, glorious!!
Check weather before. Foggy, icy conditions do make it difficult to get there. Green trail was like a less difficult Blue and challenging Green. First week in January is good - no lines.
Wolfie is fantastic! Great snow, staff, and prices... Where else can you get 3.50 Banquets?
Suxs...hope everyone craps on the ppl that works here.. They hate there job and they show it..and the guy that runs it is a racist.
.. Boycott or don't I don't care...plus they have a death almost every year look it up on the news papers around it..blue blood ppl..that pass there women around...they have a saying that's horrible..you don't lose your woman, you lose your turn...
The snow conditions are a little better than fair and deteriorating. Just left the mountain and it was snowing so maybe things will be improving. Noticed some of the food prices went up a little but still lower than most Colorado ski areas. This is a we'll run ski area and will get my 5 star rating as soon as mother nature co operates. Just waiting for more snow and we will be back.....
Their slogan is not a myth. I am a fairly consistent weekend warrior, with about 30 days a season. I have been coming to Wolf Creek consistently every year, and consistently its the snowiest ski trip of the season. This last year we got over 40 inches in 3 days. That was on top of some 6 feet of snow in the couple of weeks before. Granted, 2019 was an epic year for Colorado, but Wolf Creek didn't fail to deliver. If you like glades, Alberta lift doesn't fail to deliver. There is an awesome amount of terrain and variety served by that little lift. It's slow, but I have had the thought once or twice, that it's a blessing to let the legs recover. If you are looking for spectacular views and more bottomless powder, do the hike to Alberta peak first thing in the morning. It takes a bit, but worth every minute on the way down.
We had a fantastic time at this resort. We are all very beginner skiers & our instructor, Patrick, was so patient with us & he is a great teacher. The private/ separated ski school hill makes such a difference when trying to gain your confidence as a skier.
All staff we interacted with was so incredibly friendly except for the food service lady. She needed a hug & some customer service training.
Even on Wlfs worst days, it was twice as good as most of Colorado's cheaper resorts and three times as good as any New Mexico's resorts. 72$ lift and well worth it.
Great except when its busy. Make everyone wait till 3 big line no reason watching people inside do nothing waiting till 3 for next day pass
We had a wonderful time, Craig our instructor was AMAZING! He was great with the kids and the adults!
We took a girls trip Wolf Creek & YALL this was the best experience I have ever had!!!! On the beginners slope PRAY YOU GET SCOTT at the lift. He personally took me under his wing and taught me how to snow board in just two days!!! Best experience all the way around. Every attendant was SO kind & helpful!!! We WILL BE BACK!!!!! My photo is Scott helping me with turns in the Silver snow suit!!!!!!!!
great time shredding the gnarly deep pow backcountry 11/10 would recommend!Snowboarded with broken arm from before not a big dealll all workers were awesome
Great day for our biginner friend. Hop it snows more tonight.
Great, uncrowded local ski area. Usually the most all-natural snow in Colorado.
Little to no compliance with Covid guidelines. Go here and wear your mask, because no one will be there to tell anyone else to do so. Then make sure you get tested and stay isolate for 7-10 days. Not fun. Not worth it.
Great price, fast lift lines, and awesome terrain. Can't wait to go back.
If you can get there it s one of the finest in Colorado!
Don't tell anyone that Wolf is the best of any ski area in Colorado.
Powder heaven. Good management. Free parking. Family friendly.
On vacation from Pa and this is my third year coming to Wolf Creek. Even though there is a lack of snow for Colorado this year Wolf Creek does not disappoint. The have snow and the trails are well maintained.
First time here so I was a nervous breakdown but thanks to the awesome employees here they were able to guide me in the right direction, before I knew it I was shredding! Lol
The bunny slope (for first timers) is perfect until the end, where it becomes intensely steep and ends in a building/crowd of people.
Our instructor, Dillon, was great. He was patient, friendly, and an effective teacher. The instructor of the other group was not a people person.
The instructors are also not very good at waiting their turns, often cutting in front of other groups.
The slopes were well run, the lift attendants are fast and efficient, and there are tons and tons of slopes.
staff is always cool. snow is usually good. no lines to speak of
Loved it on this mountain! Well kept, and friendly staff! Will be back end of this year!
Great instructors, prices aren't bad at all. Fun times!
Excellent ski school and great runs for the price!!!
Really neat mountain, a hidden gem. Always good snow, even in bad years. Decent lift ticket prices
I would consider wolf creek my home mountain. It is a great place to learn as well as push you're boundaries. Hardly crowded and very laid back environment. The deepest powder I have ever experienced and so many good times . Had a season pass one year and it was the best money I have ever spent. I will come here for the rest of my life.
I had a fantastic time skiing at Wolf Creek this year! Great passages, nice staff, good chair lifts, and long hours. It was also really nice to be able to ski right into lunch haha. There were lots of places to eat and yummy food! You don't have to travel to get something to eat you could grab something real quick and get back to the slopes! I would definitely visit Wolf Creek again!
Slopes were great. Wait was crazy (about an hour-2 hours). One of the parking staff was rude.
Best place to ski! Privately owned and gets the most snow of any ski resort!
Love the old school charm and less crowds. A nice mix beginning, intermediate and expert runs. We keep coming back just for that!
Best Ski Resort in Colorado. They get the most snow!!!
Love this place. Great instructors of all ages. Many good options and areas to eat. Beautiful views at the top of the mountain and throughout the ride. A snowboarding and skier paradise. This place has taught me how to board, and ski, and has allowed me to challenge myself as I increase difficulty. Great for beginners, intermediate, and experts.
Tranquil and beautiful, with some exciting and intense terrain
Ski lift lines move fast, slopes are fun even on the beginner courses and they offer training in groups or with a private lesson. Even if you don't do the training (costs more) the instructors walking around are very nice and willing to help you with some basics anyway.
Only con: skiing in general is a bit expensive for my taste.
NOTE: Don't show up with a lift ticket and expect to get to pick up a board and ski immediately. The board lines are long because it takes time to get properly fit. If you want to hit the slopes immediately rent your board from a rental place before you go. Their lines are not as long, but some may require a reservation because they run out of equipment.
7 out of 8 years of going to Wolf Creek, the snow has been epic. The staff are always helpful and down to earth. And the prices are the best.In short......no reason to go anywhere else
Very wide range of tails, varying in angle and difficulty. And if you don't like the marked trails you can leave them almost anywhere you want and go through the trees.
Nice weather but 22" base. Minor tree and rocks sticking out on edges and some icy spots. I'm changing from 3 to 4. Thinking back on every single person who works in rental and loading of Raven raised it. Every person was so friendly and helpful.
Always friendly service and the most affordable ski resort in Colorado.
Always the best! Never disappointed here, except inexperienced folks stopping in the middle of the the trails and leaving their skis out creating obstacles.
Hey all you snowboarders! Yeah you! Itching to start the seson already? Excellent early season conditions, plenty of runs offering geeat terrain, and $50 all day tickets! 10x better than A Basin and Loveland for early season riding. Come to Wolf Creek!
Love Wolf Creek and Pagosa. Great place for intermediate skiers.
Very nice place to have some good fun. Most of the times the lines aren't long on the weekdays
This was really a neat place. It was full and the skiers appeared to be having a great time. We had hot chocolate and a cookie and it was awesome. Best hot chocolate I've had in a long time. It was lots of fun.
Local mountain with a small mountain feel. Plus the snow is damn good
Not much of a skiier but it is pretty, way over prices in my opinion
I'm from Taos and get to ski that crazy mountain as a local. I'm always suprised how much fun I have everytime we go to Wolf Creek. Wolf Creek is a super fun mountain with tons of different terrain. A ski-able mountain for novices, kids and experts.
Beautiful day. Not cold. Plenty of powder left from Monday's storm in the trees. To the left...to the left...
My first time skiing! I was not disappointed with this ski area. Price for half day 12:30-4p.m is $55 and $70 for a full day. The food prices in the lodge weren't too expensive, but I have to say some of the food quality is a bit on the poor side. the powder was super nice, and views were just gorgeous. I'll be back!
The snow was fantastic and well-groomed. Lifts were terrific. The facilities on the mountain were great with many food options and even a coffee shop at the top the Treasure Lift. The staff was the only negative. But, it was a major negative.
Jesse worked with us at the ski rental shop and was unhelpful to say the least. Other people in our party also noted the rude or unhelpful staff for ski rentals.
All in all, good prices for what you get in snow and facilities, but poor service.
Great place to ski and snowboard. Get their early if your going to rent ski's or snowboards
18 years and counting, my favorite place to go. Awesome snow, amazing staff
Was happy with the Covid-19 rules in place and their enforcement of them. The mountain, obviously, is fantastic.
Pretty good place to ski and snowboard. Prices are expensive just like everywhere in Colorado. Utah is a lot cheaper with less lines . The base of this mountain sits over 10,000 feet high so anybody not used to the higher altitudes in Colorado will more than likely experience light altitude sickness. But overall the staff was more than helpful, the quality of the snow was great! But some of the runs were very narrow and much more fitted for a skier than a snowboarder. I myself snowboard, that's why I am a little biased about this.
