This is the only place I ski at. I'd give a 10 star rating if I could. The best weather and snow conditions anywhere in the country. Well maintained, stunning scenery, lovely staff. The classes they offer are very personal and informative, and really helped me become the skier I am today. Check this place out if snow sports are your thing!

Most snow in Colorado, friendly staff, exceptional ski terrain (must hike to most), incredible value, good ski school, and good food. Not as developed as most ski resorts (not much on site shopping, no accommodations, restaurants, etc...) but if you actually enjoy skiing, this is an excellent place to be.

Easy trip up the mountain, very friendly people that are extremely helpful. Going back today and will send pictures.

2nd day better than the first! Starting to get the hang of snowboarding with help from Mary the instructor and Joey my son.

Can't count the times we have gotten the kids out of bed at 2 a.m. to leave Albuquerque by 3 just to be the first on the lift. Wolf Creek (aka Bull Mtn) is an amazing place for boarding without the upper class rif raf. POW everywhere, short lines, cheap tix, great people and all day FUN with beautiful backcountry runs if you are willing to work for it!

This was my first time skiing! Wolf creek was very helpful when we went in and said it was out first time. They were all friendly and nice. Now for the organization and slopes I dont feel I really can rate those cause I have nothing to compare it too. But they seemed great to me. I busted my lip getting off a lift so be careful you first timers haha!!! Have fun and stay salty yall!!!

Can I rate it 6 stars? This is such a great mountain on so many levels. Great snow is its well earned reputation. The terrain provides lots of intermediate power, plenty of tree runs and steeps for those looking. No lodging on-site, so it doesn't have the glitz, crazy pricing or crowds. Laid back skiing at its best. It was on my bucket list for 40 years and now I'd like to go back.

Good place to ski/snowboard. The price is fairly cheap, while there is a nice diversity in style and difficulty of runs. The amount of snow that Wolf Creek gets is great, and you can get some nice powder fairly easily.

Always epic even early in the season! Always have a great time, although the bar is a bit pricey. Love the bowl areas and glades, and there is plenty of terrain for the beginner to the advanced.

Great place with good snow. Do not ask for a lid for your boiling coffee though. They will not give you a lid. If you ask for one they will look at you like an alien. Other than the BYOL, I love this place.

Great for beginners and for advanced snow sport enthusiasts. Had a half day pass (lasts from 12:30-4:00 pm) and rented some skis and boots from the rental shop up there. I had a blast the whole time. Long lifts, great runs, just a great time all around. Highly recommend!

There are never lift lines
The food was fairly priced and AMAZING. I ve been to a ton of resorts and the food options here were amazing. I love this mountain! It s a hidden gem :)
I also had a great lesson with Carl Fisher and learned so much in two hours. It was basically a semi private lesson. Great prices.

Wolf creek is sick, and the clouds seem to agree. ...

Wolf creek is sick, and the clouds seem to agree. This part of the continental divide is often blessed with big, champagne flakes, falling in rapid succession. It is more common to find waist deep snow than it is to find a beautifully groomed trail. Not to say that the groomers aren't fun, all the people on them seem to be having a blast.
This mountain turns Volkswagen sized boulders into gentle booters. The ample hiking can keep someone busy all day; and the abundance of snow will often keep others, busy all day. On occasion you may find a local that will test your physical and mental fortitude by showing you something you haven't seen before in a speed and depth you haven't traveled before. Approach these people with respect and reservation. I suggest bringing bionic legs for this adventure... Maybe Amazon?
The only complaint that I have is that they recently upgraded some of their lifts, even going as far as to open new ones, now all of these changes are very inconvenient for me. These lifts where once much slower; now it is a much quicker ride. One in which I have even less of a chance to catch my breath, have a quick bite, recreate...
All that aside this is a great place with great snow and even better people!

Snow was great, but... 2 hours to wait in line for gear rentals, 2 hours to wait in line for lift tickets, and 1 hour each way to wait in line for the shuttle bus to the parking lot a mile away...
Then to top it off, the lift operators at Elma lift did NOT stop the lift when people fell getting off, and instead watched the next lift hit someone in the head, very hard, and made snarky comments about it!
Very poorly run.

Wish they allowed skibikes. I'm adaptive and it is the only thing my knees can handle. Experienced skibikers can handle most any terrain one can ski or snowboard. They stop just like skis. I have a leash for lift use. Sounds like I would need some Big Fat Skidders to handle the deep powder there.

Go on a Friday. The lifts are quite speedy, no lines on this Friday, essentially on and off. Great runs and wide enough to not worry about others. Beautiful views of the southern CO mountains.

My favorite place to ski so far. It can get pretty busy on holidays and weekends so if you have a group it might be best to pack a lunch. There are free cubbys at Base Camp and it's a popular area to eat your packed lunch. This last trip we spent most of our days on the Raven lift running down a variety of runs with our 6 year old. If you come off the lift and go left you'll be able to get to Kaa the snake which for a beginner is a great first blue to conquer. In the same direction Star Wars is a great first black run. My personal favorite runs are off the Alberta lift. On a busy day this lift has shorter lift lines and fantastic tree runs.

Grew up going to this mountain and not much has changed in 20 years which is a good thing. Rental line was ridiculously long but it was around the holidays but there was no wait for the lift lines which is unheard of at the bigger resorts up north. Highly recommend.

**Lift ticket purchases. Be prepared for strict practices. Dont remove your lift pass if you want to change it from your jacket to pants, it will void. No exceptions to the rules. Otherwise, good prices. Can be a little slow in the line during busy season.
**Main cafeteria building has a lot of options! Their famous green chili soup is super spicey so if your not into very spicey food get a burger or something else. Great food, clean, a lot of options. Electric Outlets upstairs, phone service is minimal at base here.
**friendly lift operators and staff, they have a ski shop not too bad priced, rental shop, excellent photographers ($30's for 1 digital pic), plan on having lots of pics in one day, then just buy them all for $130ish for 6-10 peeps with download.

Always make friends with ski patrol. Met Elsie who showed us the goods. We took the Knife Ridge Staircase (stairs are always a good sign) and then hiked the ridge until we got to a snowcat. That took us to a drop zone and then we hiked to Voodoo Bowl. Nobody around and super light pow. Impressive since they haven't had a big storm recently.

Most snow in Colorado! Best free trailin my board has experienced in CO. We arrived the day after a storm, stayed the rest of the week and it was heaven! ~$200 for adult 3 day pass, 7 lifts +2child's/school lifts. Get to Alberta if you wanna ride a little harder. Have smaller kids, the Raven and Treasure lifts are for you! Eat/drink at the bottom or at the top of the mountain. Great vacation experience!
