Wohlfahrt Haus Review

This show was great. I'm not one for Gospel, but it was an amazing show with incredible singing. The food and service were excellent, and I will definitely be back for the Christmas Show. If you're passing through Wytheville you have to check this place out!

The shows are always excellent. The food is well prepared and good.

They always do musical theatre. They have been going strong for about 20 years now. The New Year's Eve show is very popular.

These people work really hard they served as dinner and afterwards went on stage and performed a great play for us I believe the play was called Home for Christmas it was wonderful I loved it very enjoyable.

We have always enjoyed the shows but my group prefers a story line to go along with the musical performances (not as fond of the all-musical performances.). Can t wait to hear about Christmas show!

The productions are wonderful so I rate 4 stars. The dinner left a lot to be desired .

Greatest time EVER! GREATEST VALENTINE'S SURPRISE! We enjoyed Stephen Freeman as ELVIS! Such an amazing show. Everyone walking out after agreed with me, that if you closed you're eyes, you'd swear he WAS Elvis! (I know bcz that's what everyone was talkg about.) So different than any other I've seen. SIMPLY AMAZERIFICAL!

I was amazed by my entire experience. The food was fantastic & the entertainment of the highest quality and talent. I would recommend going to anyone. Could not ask for a better evening than one spent here!

Found this years show to be lacking the pizzazz of previous years. Smaller than usual food portions were also disappointing.

Food was great, service was great, the theater production was great. I would return and recommend it to others. All the food was fantastic but the homemade dessert was out of this world great!

Cast and performance were excellent. Sound equip, props, costumes have greatly improved within the last two years. For groups, tip is included; however, strong encouragement from establishment to tip more. Food is okay.

Love to go there for lunch also. Had at least 1 or 2 great craft beers on tap at reasonable price. The musicals and dinner are always to of the line.

Great food! The shows are always fun and very professional. If you like musicals, you can't go wrong!

Lobby jam packed. Took 10-20 minutes to get seated.
When making reservations we were told we'd have to share a table for 4. The event was oversold. We were sat at a table of 7.
Waiters were doing their best; however, after being seated for 20 minutes we'd only received our salad - which was on the table when we sat down.
Ate salad and left. Never again!

Foods and the show is both great. The only complaint I had is the time between the meal and the show is too long

You would be better to spend your money grabbing a cheap meal before going to Barter Theater. This falls much more in the $10 community theater experience than what they charge. Food is decent and served hot. However your server is also an actor so you do not get service while they are on stage. The audio is horrible quality and uncomfortably loud. They left an actor on stage without a working mike the entire show. Customs are not great. They constantly remind you to tip you actor. I'm not used to tipping actors at theaters. I'm used to tipping restaurants with my cc but here you pay in advance. It made for a weird experience. First time. Probably the last trip. That says a lot because we probably attend 10 plays a year at other theaters.

We had a great time at The Wizard of Oz show. ..food was very good also.

Wife and I love the Wohlfahrt House. Started the evening with a delicious meal served by an excellent waitress. The play was the Buddy Holly Story. This was a great production performed by professional actors.

Great place to watch a show and have a meal. The staff is wonderful and very talented.

Heard all good things, but my experience was not quite the same. I'd like to come back eventually to actually see what all the hype is about.

Went there for the Beauty and the Beast more recently. Is a good dinner and show for the money. Would like to see more general audience performances, though. Most are just seldom heard of shows.

Good performance. The food was not so special. I could make it at home, but they gave us large portions. They have a cute little gift shop. I think they should do less dollor tree type toys, though. But it was a nice experience.

I went with a friend from work. This was my first trip but he has been there several times
We saw "country roads" and it was an amazing show. The food was good, service was great. Our waiter, Ethan, was new and he did an excellent job. I can't wait to go again and share the experience with my daughter.

My mother in law and I have been here a number of times. We have never seen a bad show and the meal is always good! I will return.

What an excellent venue!! Dinners are superb and the shows are always top rated!! You don't even get close to the grand performances in NYC. If you haven't been to this dinner theater, please go!! You will never be disappointed. In fact, you'll always want to come back for more!

Went and saw Joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat. It was the best play I've seen in a long time.

Food was good. Roast beef was excellent! Theatre was fair. Not a bad deal for the price. Unfortunately one of the lights fell off the catwalk above and hit me on the head! I got a "credit for a future show" within the next 12 months, however I don't live near there. Grateful it didn't hit any of the senior citizens who sat all around me. That would have been catastrophic!

The last show I attended (Can't remember the name but it was something like A Hollywood Christmas) was the best I've been to yet. This was the 4th time I had seen a show there. The cast was awesome and I really enjoyed their singing. Loved it!

I have been to the wohlfahrt house many times, and always friendly staff, excellent food, and awesome shows. Sadly this past weekend I recieved the worst service. Our waiteess was extremely slow we ate our meal in its entirety without a drink. The food was excellent and the show was Awesome. I hope when I next visit our service experience will be better!!

I had the most popular dish Rhineland Wursts and it was fantastic. The bratwurst, knockwurst and sauerkraut was very flavorful.
